What self respecting person would ever be willing to run for high office in this country and be savaged by vicious political mud slinging and character assassination? Nobody in their right mind will do it.

Exactly. I often jokingly say that I would never vote for a candidate that wanted to be president. It’s a sort of catch-22 thing.

And when the country is facing utterly unresolveable problems, I double down on that phrase. Only a fool (or worse) would want to be at the helm when this Titanic hits the biggest iceberg in the history of the human race.

Seriously.

This is one of the reasons I admire Trump. There’s not much in this for him, but he felt he had to do it for the sake of our Country. I believe that, and will be proud to vote for him.
