It’s actually happening on both sides. This season is the logical conclusion of negative campaigning gone wild. By election day half the country will want one candidate or the other put before a firing squad.
It’s actually pretty fascinating, because I don’t blame the candidates at all. I blame the electorate.
What self respecting person would ever be willing to run for high office in this country and be savaged by vicious political mud slinging and character assassination? Nobody in their right mind will do it.
