he UK has frozen all bank accounts owned by Russia's state-run broadcaster, Russia Today (RT), its editor-in-chief has claimed. Margarita Simonyan tweeted: "They've closed our accounts in Britain. All our accounts. 'The decision is not subject to review.' Praise be to freedom of speech!" RT has previously been sanctioned by Ofcom for biased reporting on the conflicts in Ukraine and Syria.

Does Russia Today coordinate with wikileaks?
Fine. Let them fight it. I'm very tired of our feckless politicians and feckless foreign policy, and don't think anyone’s children should be sent to fight for people who squander the sacrifices of those who have served and those who have paid the ultimate price.
They're the only media source I've seen who has breaking news with Wikileaks dumps. But they get it around the same time as anyone else can get it and I assume they don't get any heads up.
Freedom of press for some and not for others, eh?
How very Orwellian.
Animal Farm much?
The corrupt American media is loathe to report.... they give it lip service.
I seriously heard this story on Wikileaks from the Miami Florida media the other day: Hitlery wanted to CHANGE the date of the Illinois primary!
Oh, the horror!
In other words, of ALL the stink rising from Wikileaks, the local media decided to “report” on it by picking a really lame element.
Bias stinks. Bigly.
The Brits are being obedient lap dogs following Jihn Effing Kerry’s visit to London. Putting the squeeze on Ecuador and thus tossing the concept of diplomatic immunity ( is that why they are called tosses?) Why don’t they freeze CNN accounts for “biased f” reporting?
Russia Today is based in Moscow, so I wonder what kind of bank accounts it had in the UK?
Russia is the only country where we won't need any conventional forces.
If Hillary wins in November and we go to war with Russia in December, I wonder if the middle-aged women in Priuses with "I'm with her" bumper stickers will still blame Trump when they are bleeding through their skin and out of their eye sockets.
Looks like Larry King won’t get a paycheck this week.
Originally, Assange was supposed to be interviewed by a prosecutor today (Oct 17) regarding the accusations in Sweden. A few days ago, Assange asked for (and was granted) a month postponement. It will now be held on November 14th. However, I’m wondering how much of this was pre-planned by authorities with the original October 17th date in place.
This is a point the Republicans have never made effectively to the public. A weak foreign policy and a week defensive posture causes wars, and by voting for the democrat you actually put the youth of America at bigger risk.
1984 without the Anti-Sex League. Big Brother was an amateur.
Freedumb....they feed us the info they want us to have to dumb us down.
The internet has helped those who seek the truth... to be able to find it.... if they’ll just do a little research.
I watched an RT report and I think this is somewhat overblown/overstated. The RT reported said they received a letter from their bank instructing them to take their business elsewhere. This is a little different then their accounts being “frozen”.
That’s what the war theater is supposed to show.
Sounds about the same to me. A big, ‘you’re business is not welcomed/tolerated here’!
That’s what I wondered. And how does London have the authority?
How many days has it been since the ‘UN’ takeover of the internet?
