Lynyrd Skynyrd did the most wonderful show last night, with a Tribute to the Troops, A Prayer and Blessing upon them by the lead singer, and a huge photo Mural tribute to all the branches of the Armed Forces.
He also said a Blessing over those in Law Enforcement, and First Responders.
And that was JUST the intro to the song “A Simple Kind of Man.”
For the “Freebird” Encore, there was a huge Mural of an American Eagle holding the Flag, which. of course, gave an entirely new layer of meaning to the song.
The Battle Flag of Northern VA made a brief appearance, for “Sweet Home Alabama”, which got a roar of approval from the crowd, as many were disappointed back when the Flag was dropped from the act after some left-wing bullying about a year and a half ago.
This may have been in Connecticut, but nobody likes being falsely accused of ANYTHING, especially “hate”.
Oh...and I started a “USA! USA!” chant up in the balcony which spread to the audience of 10,000.
