I was a Cruz supporter but I was grateful to Trump. I knew that if Trump had not acted as a flak shield, Cruz would have been buried in the early running and we'd be listening to Jeb Bush apologies for the 10 time for invading her personal space during a debate. *shudder*

My wife and I were strong, early supporters of Cruz, giving him hundreds of dollars. We switched to Trump a few months later, due to his salient qualities over Cruz. However, it was just in the past month that we finally gave Trump as much as we'd given Cruz.
I don't regret helping Cruz, as he was likely to be the most conservative option who had some chance to win the nomination, but we are so happy Trump has continued to plow through PC and everything the GOPe, Dems, and the MSM have thrown his way.
No one else running could have survived this.
