Almost exactly the same except for the Star in the upper left hand corner. I have one.

As the story said without the REAL ID you cannot do many things including boarding an aircraft.

The Consular card is issued to US citizens who were born abroad. It functions as a birth certificate. My step son has one since he was born at Ramstein AFB in Germany.

It amazes me that conservatives are so demanding that illegals and non-citizens are not treated like citizens but then are so demanding that they, citizens, do not have to prove they are citizens. You can have it one way or the other. Not both.

I am right.  In California the Driver's licence and Identity Card look identical except one is designated as not being a driver's license.

California has not instituted the start in the upper left hand corner, unless they did it and haven't updated everyone's licenses yet.  I have one I received in May and there is no star.

California was not in compliance with the 2005 Identity act by the deadline 12/31/2015.  It received an extension.  For now it's citizens can fly with the identity cards and licenses.

(that may have changed, but I found no evidence of it).

Unless you live in a "special place" like California.

All well and good.  I have no problem with people who abide by rules and have one of these.  The matricular counselor cards issued by the Mexican embassies were not abiding by the rules.  They were gifting illegal immigrants with no identification, legal counselor indentification cards.  They didn't like their fellow citizens being looked down on, or not be able to conduct business inside a nation where they didn't belong.  This was their remedy.  The U. S. allowed it, and now those I. D.s that represent nothing in the way of legitimate identification, stand.

That is not what your family engaged in.

LOL

Yes, isn't it strange that citizens get angry when illegal immigrants get away with coming here, breaking our laws, fineggling government handouts, inhabit our schools, dominate our heathcare facilities?

Sure we want them identified and kicked out.

What we do not want is for us to be singled out, demanded to have a government ID that will sooner than later be used to do all sorts of things against us.

I submit that these government IDs will be used to deny us services a lot sooner than you might think.

If Hillary Clinton were to become president, it would not be out of the question for her to deny certain groups rights, and use those very IDs to help eliminate their rights.

Look at her comments about Catholics and Trump supporters.
