San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick believes that the flag of the United States is nothing more than simply a piece of cloth.
"At the end of the day the flag is just a piece of cloth and I am not going to value a piece of cloth over people's lives. That's just not something I can do, it's not something I feel morally right doing and my character won't allow me to do that," Kaepernick told reporters.

Well, ask him if the Rebel/Confederate Flag is only “a piece of cloth” and why folks are so eager to have it removed anyplace it flies?
Also, if the American Flag is just cloth, why do you feel the need to treat it as a symbol of anything?
And the Constitution is just a piece of paper...to Colin, Hillary, and Obama.
Keep digging, fool.
The “Holy Koran” is just a book, not worth people’s lives.
The First “Lady” happens to agree with him.
So says a pampered POS who, despite his halfricanAmerican disability, has attained fortunes way beyond his imagination. To bad he wasn’t born in Zimbabwe. He’d get a real lesson on living like crap.
Well, now you’ve gone all logical on us.
PS, can we wipe our feet on his jersey? But this early in the morning I will need to wipe something else soon.
Some collections of brain cells never prpoerly network to obtain higher ordered thinking. Colin should listen to his Mom.
And Colin Kaepernick is just a bag of water.
football is just a bunch of guys dressed alike following each other around.
.....At the end of the day the flag is just a piece of cloth....
Yeah right, Colin! And you’re just a piece of sh!t!!!!
Google doesn’t understand symbolism.
He is going to get a rude awakening when his Muslim girlfriend leaves him because he’s not making those millions anymore.
This is why I’m not a sports fan. When the most bonehead imbecile can command such attention and salary for chasing a little ball around a field under contrived “rules,” something’s wrong.
I was recently at a funeral where some VFW post members, in their 80’s and 90’s, held a gun salute, plaid taps on the bugle, and presented the flag to the widow.
All the while I was thinking Mr. Kaepernick needs to see this.
