VANITY: Question after watching Hannity.
10-13-16 | self

Posted on 10/13/2016 11:09:13 PM PDT by Anti-Hillary

Watched Hannity and the comment was made that Trump needs to buy ads and spend big to win. Doug Schoen opinion was that Trump is not serious because he is not spending money. First off I think he is VERY serious. But is he spending money and if not why not? He is not a stupid man. Thoughts? I shutter to think what a Clinton presidency means for this nation.

Given the media’s coverage of claims against Trump and complete lack of coverage of wikileaks, I’d not be surprised if the MSM were pulling a ‘sorry, we’ve sold all our slots during prime time through Nov 9th’. This would explain Hillary spending time in CA... not actually worried about CA, but needing more $ to buy whatever time the MSM can’t sell elsewhere. They have colluding in the past with the DNC, are currently colluding and will continue to collude to get the witch in the white house. Although I’d expect Trump to bring this up if it were happening (unless he was worried about looking foolish for not planning in advance?)

But what is your opinion as to why he is not?

Legally, if you sell time to one candidate, you have to be willing to sell the same amount of time for the same price to the opposing candidate.

That makes no sense. Hannity has been solidly on our side, and has solidly pushed for Trump.

How effective are TV ads these days?

You might be on to something there. I respect Schoen; he's Dem but a straight shooter. But Schoen is old school.

Obama had a big advantage because his people were way ahead on new media, and all that that meant for messaging and GOTV.

TV ads? It's not the 80s or 90s anymore. DVR, VOD, Netflix....Who has to sit through TV ads anymore?

Of course, maybe Doug knows something I don't, and I'm talking $hit, but I just don't see how traditional TV ads can possibly have the same impact they did way "back in the day."

Hannity’s show is sometimes live, sometimes taped earlier. O’Reilly’s is usually taped, hardly ever live. I think these negative Trump stories are purposely released late in the day so those two won’t be able to attack and and address them when they’re not even on live TV.

I didn’t watch Hannity. His taped interview with Bill’s accusers is a waste of valuable time and old news. Trump can beat Hillary on the issues and her dishonesty. That’s where the focus should be.

I’ve wondered if that’s the case.

But then we don’t do much teevee at our house.

A few hours a week tops.

Netflix or on demand skipping ads.

I believe more and more people, young-millenials especially- and old are turning away from the teevee.

My kids call it prole feed.

We don’t even watch the news anymore unless something really big happened in our town like a shooting or something.

Spending too much money on teevee ads might be a waste.

I believe at this point people’s minds are made up.

Those of us who despise Hillary will crawl over broken glass to vote against her.

Hillary’s true believers will always refuse to see the truth about her.

“Pretty bad press when Rodham claims to have smoked out Bin Laden. Instant Karma is winning, although the American people have been duped for what we have fraught for since inception.”

Am I having a stroke? I read that again and it isn’t turning into a coherent thought.

He hasn’t been spending money on commercials like team Clinton but you have to give him credit for the inumerable rallys he has been holding for many many months now and the grass roots ground game he has subsequebtly developed. You also have to reconize that he has laid his sacred honor on the line. He has completely invested himself in victory afaic.

If Trump is not serious, he is sure making a lot of effort to at least look like he is serious. And one thing that is *indisputable* — Trump is a proud man, prima donna even.

What has he to gain by feigning a serious attempt at winning, but ultimately holding back to intentionally lose? He’d be branded a loser for the rest of his life.

Maybe he is intentionally tanking, because of some sinister arrangement he’s always had with Hillary. In that case, we’re so far beyond the pale, that if so many of us could be so easily suckered, then it was game over from the get-go. We never had a chance of overcoming the Establishment’s machinations.

Why would you ever listen to anything that dipshit Doug Shoen says? He’s the new Dick Morris

#3. You can’t always get what you want.

Seriously, it’s way to late for Trump to be thinking about heavy advertisement buys.

Just keep his head down and keep hammering and hammering and giving great rally events.

Trump has tried a paradigm shift in campaigning, I’m interested to see how it works out.

The media may have hoisted itself by it’s own petard.
They’ve helped drive the anti-Trump narrative so hard that I would be surprised if polls were even close to accurate.

Actually, if Hillary wins (and I don’t think she will) then Trump will be trying to keep his neck.

I expect him to skeedaddle to another country should he lose. Perhaps Scotland.

He’s personally 100 million plus in. The RNC has refused to pay a penny for ads to support him and are using all the money he raised to try and keep the House and Senate, but the RNC is dead already, they just don’t know it.
Next the press and Democrat Party needs to die off.

teevee ads are useless and expensive.

Trump has a online media team that is blowing it out of the water. A Secret weapon and He is killing it.

Trump cannot win a media battle no matter how much he spends. His strategy all along has been to hold massive rallies where he has gotten his message to millions in key states..unfiltered by the media. These people WILL vote for him and will convince others.

He's basically running a word of mouth campaign.
