This is going to come across as arrogant, but I have to tell you ... one of the things that always astonished me as I got older was just how mediocre I found so many people in positions of power and authority to be. This includes people in government AND people in the corporate world.
I agree completely with you. I believe the fact that the mediocre (or lower) rise to such "high" positions is one of the reasons our system is viewed as unfair--not only by socialist scum--but by many "regular" Americans. They see these morons living the high life, driving the fancy cars and living in mansions (Al Gore), and wonder why they can't get the same goodies as someone who's not as smart as them.
I have found the same thing! I have decided that I am probably more intelligent than alot of these people. And I don’t mistake cleverness for intelligence either (see Obama and Clinton). But funny enough, we find both in Trump!
Yes, it has always been thus. The problem is that the modern world has become too complex for the current mediocre elites to manage it or even grasp it. Their response to the failure of technocracy is more technocracy. They are attempting to get control back by limiting human freedom so that they can at least understand the world again.
I think the same thing.
