GOP Elite Want Trump’s Ideas and Supporters ‘Permanently Thrown Out’ of the Party
Trump Conservative ^ | 10/12/2016

Posted on 10/12/2016 2:32:10 PM PDT by Rufus Shinra

The fireworks from this weekend's release of tapes showing Donald Trump engaging in 'locker room talk' have died down, but the Never Trump Republicans are continuing their campaign to not only rid their party of Trump, but his "ideas and supporters" as well.

In what is being described as a "coup attempt" within the GOP, it seems high ranking Republicans who were already vocal critics of Donald Trump had a part to play in the timed released of recordings showing Trump engaging in lewd talk regarding women.

Jack Posobiec, the Special Projects Director for Citizens for Trump, describes insiders within the GOP establishment expected Donald Trump to drop out of the race over the embarrassing tapes released, with Mike Pence heading up the ticket in his place. Pence would be expected to lose in November to Hillary Clinton, after supporters would be demoralized at Trump's dropping out, and the establishment could regain control of the party to start planning for a Ryan/Rubio 2020 ticket.

jack-posobiec-tweet-2

jack-posobiec-tweet-3

Posobiece also described the events of the GOP in detail during a video interview posted to Youtube yesterday.

Whoever brainstormed this plan, clearly does not know the level of resolve and dedication that Trump has to this movement. It also goes to show the level of arrogance that party insiders have, thinking that after everything Paul Ryan has done to attack the people's chosen candidate he would stand a chance of being elected President in 4 years. Although I'm sure these geniuses in the GOP upper ranks thought that by releasing these "embarrassing" Trump tapes, he would be discredited and even many of his staunch supporters would turn on him, giving the elites not only a victory, but a way of crushing the entire Trump movement as well.

However, Trump seems to have only been made stronger by this coup attempt, as he announced that the "shackles have been taken off" and he can now campaign the way he wants to.

Another ironic part of this story, is Donald Trump has stated before that the Republican party "doesn't know how to win", as they proved with both the Romney and McCain campaigns in the past 8 years. It seems Trump was right, as even the upper echelons of the GOP elite have grossly underestimated the support for Trump, while overestimating the public's perception of themselves.

trump-tweets-unshackled

The political elite will not be so easily unseated from power, however, as literally their very way of life is being threatened not only by Donald Trump, but his supporters, whose eyes have been opened to the systemic corruption and deceit that is so deeply ingrained within both political parties.

The GOP establishment still can't seem to understand the movement that Trump started, as many are convinced they will eventually oust Trump and everything will go back to the way it was. Getting rid of Trump, however, isn't enough for these elites, as they also want his "ideas and supporters" purged from the Republican party and ownership firmly back in the hands of the establishment.

From The Daily Beast:

The last two days have convinced anti-Trump Republicans not only that he will lose, but that there will be a prolonged civil war within the party. Trump not only needs to be humiliated at the ballot box, they say, but his supporters will need to be permanently thrown out.

A strategist for GOP Ohio Gov. John Kasich put the battle in vivid terms: “Sometimes the barn is so infested with rats you just have to burn the damn thing down and start over,” John Weaver tweeted Tuesday.

Never Trumpers will not be satisfied with merely being right, however. The war against Trump will not be over, in the view of many who have opposed him from the beginning, until not only he—but also his supporters and their ideas—are entirely detached from the party.

“After election day, a bitter and protracted civil war will have to be waged to be rid of this mindless and militant Trump cult and to save genuine conservatism’s place in Lincoln’s Republican Party,” said Richard Russell, a Republican who formerly served as an adviser to the U.S. military’s Central Command.

The responsibility for a loss does not end with Trump, these Never Trumpers say—the entire Republican Party apparatus will need to be tossed overboard and replaced, including Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus and other members of the Republican establishment that enabled the flawed nominee.

“After the election, there will be a reckoning,” said Carrie Cordero, who gave policy advice to Kasich during the governor’s presidential bid. “First step is Reince needs to go."
This above statements by GOP insiders should be a wake up call for every voter, proving to the public that the Republican party is only on the side of the people, as long as the people are going along with their established plans.

They don't just want to eject Donald Trump from the party, they want to destroy his ideas and the movement he started, otherwise the GOP will be fractured and they will never regain the power that they so desire to hold onto.

What these elites don't seem to realize is, win or lose, the Republican party will never be the same. The realities that Trump has brought to light this year will have long lasting repercussions within both political parties, as well as our government as a whole, and it's far too late for them to do anything about it. In fact, the more the Never Trumpers push, the harder the votes are going to push back. Now that the GOP elite have taken off their masks and revealed to the voters their true motives, which seem to revolve around maintaining their power and the status quo, there is no going back to the way things were.

You may be able to destroy a man, but you cannot destroy the idea and movement that was born from his passion.

No matter what the establishment throws at Donald Trump between now and the election on November 8th, his millions of supporters will not waver in their support for the American ideals he has brought back to life. This is something the political elite cannot understand, as their very claim to power depends on not clinging to any ideals, but instead doing what is in their own best interests despite the negative impact it may have on the country.

You can bet this battle for the Republican party is not over between the elites and the voters. No establishment politician who has been in power will relinquish their authority because of something they consider to be as insignificant as the people's choice, unless we unite send a clear message at the ballot box on November 8th.

Stay registered and vote in the primaries.

No it hasen't worked. I've been voting for good people in the primaries since I voted for Pat Buchanan over Bush#1 in 1998.

The GOPe controls who gets on the ballot and who get help from the party. The whole party is ROTTEN.

I'll vote trump then I'm gone for GOOD.

You can bet that if the GOP establishment remains in power, the voters will never have the chance at an outsider candidate again.

A far-left Supreme Court and the continued importation of Democratic voters via immigration would render future elections meaningless. No real change would be possible.

I want those people out of the GOP. Let me be clearer: Ryan and the GOP leadership out of my GOP party. They are no different than the Dems represented by Harry and Nancy, etc.

Both groups seem to have forgotten the Bill of Rights and the Constitution comprise the basis for much law in this country. When this election is over, win or lose, I will join the Constitution Party and I will promote honesty, integrity anywhere I can find it. Trump is not a strumpet and “those” people have said far worse in private. Let’s not forget private and what it used to be.

Trump has a vision and, by God and Law, I hope he succeeds in achieving his and our goals. I think he is the honest answer no matter what the answer is or how badly it is expressed. We get it!!

Youtube link to video in the article .... well worth listening to (13 minutes):

An interview with republican/Trump insider Jack Posobiec and YourVoice™ Radio Cohost Cari Kelemen, where they discuss and explain in detail EXACTLY what went down with the infamous NBC/Universal Trump audio/video and how it was an actual political hit perpetrated by House Speaker Paul Ryan. [13 minutes]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMhsMjQQzqY

Per Posobiec, probably not the last attempt by the “Paul Ryan wing” of the GOP to subvert Trump.

The gop wing of the uniparty committed suicide over the weekend. A dead party walking. Trump wins, the gop wing of the uniparty is purged. If Trump loses, they can’t put forth a viable candidate due to millions of voters taking a hike when Trump starts a third party.

As for the gop: I can’t wait to piss on it’s grave.

“This should be an eye opener to anyone still loyal to...the GOP ‘leadership’, as they care nothing for democracy or the will of the people...”

No offense intended, but if their eyes weren’t already opened, it’s too late and they might well be put down like a lame horse or a zombie from “The Walking Dead” because they are hopeless and just too damn stupid to waste the time and energy on to convince them otherwise.

I don't know who this Jack Posobiec is, but one part of his story seems outlandish.

I have a hard time believing anyone in the Republican Party considers Paul Ryan a credible presidential candidate right now. House Speakers are poorly suited for presidential runs because the deals they make in Congress become fodder for opponents in a national election.

Also ... If the guy couldn't even deliver his own state for Mitt Romney in 2012, what prospects can he possibly have in 2020?

Here is my email today to my congressman:

Hello Mr. Young,

I'd like to qualify this email by first disclosing that you've never particularly impressed me as someone with the back-bone to fight for us in congress. However, I'm still (at this point) a Republican and will vote for you this election cycle for the simple reason that you are not a democrat.

Now, you may wonder how you could impress a skeptic like myself to keep sending you to the feeding trough in Washington... or maybe you don't, but I'll tell you anyway.

I am extremely dismayed with the way our party leaders have sabotaged this election by attempting to pull the rug out from under our presidential nominee. These are not people who have the best interests of the country - or the party - at heart. Once DJT was perceived to be in trouble, the long knives came out.

The worst traitor of the bunch has to be - without a doubt - the illustrious Paul Ryan. This man has all but guaranteed a Hillary victory in November. I'm angry enough to spit nails, I'll tell you. As little as you've impressed me so far, Paul Ryan has completely disgusted me by his abject disinterest in fighting for conservative (if not Republican) values. DJT is somewhat correct that we, as a party, no longer know how to win.

What I would like to see from you, my dear congress person, is a little spunk and fight. Not words, mind you, but fight in taking a risk and helping to purge the party of the likes of Paul Ryan.

My plans are to switch to Independent immediately after the general election. I am still open to voting for you and other "republicans" so long as you actually DO something. My vote, which for years could be taken for granted by any republican on the ballot, is no longer a sure thing.

I'd like to know what you plan to do about Ryan. If the response is acceptable, and then backed by actual action, you can count me in for 2018. Otherwise, enjoy your party.

Whether we win or lose, WE TRUMP SUPPORTERS are a formidable party. We have our own platform and it is far more inclusive. Rights of all Americans paramount. Living by the Constitution. Freedom for businesses, individuals, unborn, the weak, the helpless. And in all of our dealings with other countries, the interests of the People of the USA must be #1 priority. Fair taxes for all, even the Rich (who do 100% of the hiring and most of the spending). Insurance available at many plans for individuals and families, buyable across state lines. Freedom of localities to choose education standards. It will be ok if some states have test scores rivaling china’s and some don’t. That is how you inspire. Honest representation by government officials.

We don’t need any stinkin Republican Party. Today it means NOTHING anyway. It stands for Keep Our Elite Jobs. Give Lip Service to Arguing with Democrats, then Agree With Them.

I have a hard time believing anyone in the Republican Party considers Paul Ryan a credible presidential candidate right now .....

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Anyone in the Republican Party who thought Jeb!, the Progressive Dough Boy, was a credible candidate would have no trouble making the leap to Ryno. Seriously. Ryno is one of the "in" crowd, as was Jeb! Jeffrey Lord explains it well here:

An Open Letter to Speaker Paul Ryan: It’s time to leave.

To my dismay, you have chosen to disregard Ronald Reagan’s wise remark that “a political party is not a fraternal order.” Instead, you have essentially joined forces with those who view the Republican Party as just that: a club. A combination fraternity/sorority and country club whose members — self-selected Congressmen and Senators, wealthy donors, consultants, and lobbyists — see themselves in high-school terms as the “in crowd,” and all the rest of their fellow Republicans — not to mention conservative Democrats and Independents — not as allies and supporters but as outsiders. Outsiders for whom the “insiders” have a fundamental contempt — a view that is strikingly similar to the view of Americans held by Hillary Clinton and the American Left at large.

The gop has reached Maximum Whig.

We win this election regardless. There will be a Trumpian gop or Trumpian second party.

The question is whether we win the tactical victory or not.

But, you know, really, the nerve of these people. WE GAVE THEM THE HOUSE. The Tea Party. And then we were told they couldn’t do anything without the Senate ( meanwhile Boehner was saying not to worry, we’ll co opt them when they get here). But we did it. WE GAVE THEM THE SENATE. And what did they do with them? NOTHING! How many years with “ Let’s just get spending a TRILLION DOLLARS A YEAR MORE THAN HAVE EVER BEEN ACTUALLY BUDGETED.”

And now they want US thrown out? UN frigging believable.

Whatever happens next month, in a year most Trumpers and NeverTrumpers will be on the same side.

Any party that hopes to win is going to have different factions.

Talk of purges by one side or the other is dangerous nonsense.

It's more about expressing one's emotions than building a party or movement that can do things and change things.

But, then, most of what you read about politics nowadays seems to be about expressing emotions.
