Morons didn’t understand it wasn’t the price but everything else.
Amazing isn't it. Reminds me of Kodak. Their fate was sealed with the onslaught of digital cameras, but even before that, they never did a damned thing to protect their consumer film sales which was their (huge!) cash cow.
Frickin' idiots.

Jeppesen is in the same failing position right now. They produced paper navigation charts for aviation. They owned the market. They had the mandate to go digital since at least 1993. They have failed to do so after spending over $1 billion. Total mismanagement has caused their failure. They hired MBA/PMP types instead of engineers and professional aviators. In fact, they HATE pilots. The culture is pro-MBA and anti-engineer and anti-pilot. They continue to see their revenues decline and constantly have layoffs. Yet, the genius executives at Jeppesen can’t figure out why this is happening.
