Quarter of elected top Republicans won't endorse Trump
MSN News ^ | October 12, 2016 | Paul Singer

Twenty-six percent of Republican governors and members of Congress are refusing to endorse GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, according to a survey by the USA TODAY Network.

Of the 31 Republican governors, 54 GOP senators and the 246 Republican members of the House (331 total), the survey identified 87 who are not endorsing Trump's candidacy as of late Tuesday.

It is an extraordinary demonstration of the fracture Trump’s candidacy has revealed in the Republican Party. There is no precedent in modern American political history for elected officials of either party to refuse en masse to support their presidential nominee. It shows that Trump will have to wage a national campaign without the fleet of surrogates and supporters that every other presidential contender has relied on for decades to help bring voters to the polls. And it illustrates how hard it will be for the GOP to rebuild if Trump loses.

Party labels seem to be dissolving for lots of voters.

So it may be much easier to replace the RINOs with DINOs and Trump wins bigly!

“He seldom mentions names and he NEVER chooses one presidential candidate over another”

He just takes callers who will do his dirty work for him. Then he acts incredulous.

So, at least one quarter of the Republican party goes on record as being utterly corrupt, bought & paid for by their elite globalist anti-American masters.

If Trump were the democratic nominee, the headline would be:

"75% of elected top Democrats stand behind Trump"

I hate to say this, because he's been a good senator so far, but FU Mike Crapo of Idaho. His abandoning of Trump is the "oh shi'ite" that wipes out all the attaboys he's earned over the last decade or so in office.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho! God Bless Texas!

The focus needs to be on the issues that go to the future of the Republic. We dare not get bogged down in recriminations against the sanctimonious poseurs, who suggest that a video in bad taste, about a candidate's fantasy from eleven years ago, is even one ten thousand part as important as any of the vital issues that go to the survival of America in any recognizable form. The sanctimonious prissies have neither common nor analytic sense.

Any intelligent sixth grader could destroy them in a debate--absolutely destroy them. But again, we must focus on the issues, not the poseurs.

“Trump is opposed by the Democrat Party, The Republican Party, the media, the Washington insiders and the globalist establishment.”

Exactly why I’ve liked him from the very beginning. If they are arrayed against you, you are in good stead.

You are right. But they succeeded in destroying the Goldwater campaign, and in doing so, set us back in ways that still haunt America.

But, here is the vital difference. LBJ succeeded in painting the false narrative in Conservative areas that he was a moderate Conservative; this time millions of blue collar Democrats understand what is at stake. (Goldwater did get decent blue collar grassroots support, but not on the scale that Trump will.)

Further, LBJ, mistakenly was seen as more trustworthy by a broad spectrum than is Hillary. If we focus on the issues, and get out our vote, we should win.

Someone needs to make the point to Sanders supporters that the very same people they purport to hate are lined up 100% against Trump.

TN Gov is lame duck, lamar will be to old to run again. corker has his sights set on the governor’s seat, which is why his name is not on the list. halsam is a RINO as are all three of them. corker is a dem plain and simple.

I get a new US Rep as Fincher is retiring after 2 terms. David Kustoff has in the past endorsed Trump, but have no idea what his view are now. He won the primary over a dozen others. No write in will work on him. So you chose between a fairly well known former AG and State Party leader or a unknown DemoRAT. It took us 2 decades to get rid of the last RAT who retired. And going totally GOP since Reconstruction to redistrict enough to get a Republican elected to the slot.

They may not publicly endorse him, but I bet most will still vote in support of the party against Hillary.

Paul Singer is wrong.

Elected Republicans that are running for re-election may not PUBLICLY endorse Trump, but that doesn’t mean they don’t support him. ....They have to deal with their electors to retain their positions in Congress and don’t want to create a divide. ....I think most truly support Trump over Clinton.
