I’m not LDS, but if Joseph Smith really had all of these wives, why hasn’t DNA proven it with offspring?

Joseph Smith fought against those who practiced polygamy.
Brigham Young didn’t introduce polygamy, until 1852, which was 8 years after Joseph Smith was martyred.

If you read the Kirtland Temple court case, the RLDS church was awarded the Kirtland Temple and not in the LDS church, in part, because Brigham Young introduced Adam-God theory, celestial marriage and plural marriage.

Brigham Young also introduced the ban on blacks in the priesthood.

When you’re looking for that 3rd or 4th wife, you “bring ‘em young” or you don’t bring ‘em at all.

“Polytheistic” and “polygamous” do not mean the same thing.

Dr. John C. Bennett fixed the problem ... many times.

Dr. Bennett was an excellent surgeon for his time, and a skilled abortionist who reportedly took care of many of Joseph's problems.

In 1842, the Doc insisted that Smith share some of his celestial bounty. Smith refused and the doctor began to complain. Smith ran Bennett off.

Rather than disappear as Smith undoubtedly desired, Bennett settled nearby in central Illinois and began writing letters to the editor of local newspapers exposing the Saints sexual practices. The newsers were more than happy to print the copy, much to the Mormon Church's dismay.

Dr. Bennett's agitation was one of the main reason for the dissension which led to the Nauvoo Expositor, the riots which caused Smith to flee and then return to surrender to local authorities, and finally die in a blotched jail break. Accordingly, Bennett's name is supposedly never spoken aloud in a Mormon gathering to this day.

More information on Dr. Bennett here.

"I’m not LDS, but if Joseph Smith really had all of these wives, why hasn’t DNA proven it with offspring?" A large number of mormons trace their heritage to Ol' Joe Smith the horndog prophet genealogically. They brag about it. "Joseph Smith fought against those who practiced polygamy." Ol' Joe Smith, horndog prophet, instituted polygamy. "Brigham Young didn’t introduce polygamy, until 1852, which was 8 years after Joseph Smith was martyred." Ol' Joe Smith, horndog prophet, and scammer was jailed for his offenses, opened fire on the crowd with a smuggled gun and was killed. He was not a martyr. He was a criminal.

Re: if Joseph Smith really had all those wives.....

Did you know that the Mormon church has stopped denying that Smith has all those wives? Due to the Internet and the vast amount of evidence available, it has become impossible to hide the truth and they are in some serious butt covering mode. They now admit that Smith had at least 40 wives. They try to put a spiritual spin on it of course, saying that God commanded him to take multitudes of wives (including other men’s wives apparently and young teens). But they no longer deny that Joseph Smith was a polygamist. From the church’s website: https://www.lds.org/topics/plural-marriage-in-kirtland-and-nauvoo?lang=eng

Good question, my man!!

THE
DOCTRINE AND COVENANTS
OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
SECTION 132
51–57, Emma Smith is counseled (commanded) to be faithful and true; 58–66, Laws governing the plurality of wives are set forth.

51 Verily, I say unto you: A commandment I give unto mine handmaid, Emma Smith, your wife, whom I have given unto you, that she stay herself and partake not of that which I commanded you to offer unto her; for I did it, saith the Lord, to aprove you all, as I did Abraham, and that I might require an offering at your hand, by covenant and sacrifice.
52 And let mine handmaid, Emma Smith, areceive all those that have been given unto my servant Joseph, and who are virtuous and pure before me; and those who are not pure, and have said they were pure, shall be destroyed, saith the Lord God.
53 For I am the Lord thy God, and ye shall obey my voice; and I give unto my servant Joseph that he shall be made ruler over many things; for he hath been afaithful over a few things, and from henceforth I will strengthen him.
54 And I command mine handmaid, Emma Smith, to abide and acleave unto my servant Joseph, and to none else. But if she will not abide this commandment she shall be bdestroyed, saith the Lord; for I am the Lord thy God, and will destroy her if she abide not in my law.
55 But if she will not abide this commandment, then shall my servant Joseph do all things for her, even as he hath said; and I will bless him and multiply him and give unto him an ahundredfold in this world, of fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, houses and lands, wives and children, and crowns of beternal lives in the eternal worlds.
56 And again, verily I say, let mine handmaid aforgive my servant Joseph his trespasses; and then shall she be forgiven her trespasses, wherein she has trespassed against me; and I, the Lord thy God, will bless her, and multiply her, and make her heart to brejoice.

Whatever HAPPENED to Emma???

Eliza was a devout Mormon.

At age 38, she became Joseph Smith's 14th plural wife (in addition to Smith's lawful wife, Emma).

In 1842, after learning Eliza was pregnant, Emma Smith beat Eliza with a broomstick and
knocked her down a flight of stairs, causing Eliza to miscarry Smith's baby.
Wow!!

I guess ol' Emma got VAPORIZED by GOD!!!

We know that multiply him thing sure didn't work out!

You need to do a wee bit more study!

He had a doctor who performed abortions. Look it up.

And he did have all those wives, it is documented as is sexual contact. Polygamy was practiced as early as 1832.

Check out Mormonthink.com because your facts are way off.

The first plural wives were teens but he must have realized that was dangerous. A single girl getting pregnant by the prophet might have upset the new converts. Most of the women he messed with were married. If a married woman has a baby most folks would assume that it was begotten by her husband. Even her husband unless the time line was obviously off wouldn’t think otherwise. He also chose a few good looking but older women who were not likely fertile.
