I have also said it minus the word sand. I’ve said it jokingly with friends, and I have said it in anger.
And that doesn't make you an evil person, but liberals have a hard time differentiating between mere words, and concrete actions or things. To utter the word, in their world, is to do the deed or be the thing.
I think that sort of thinking goes to the root of what it means to be a liberal. You have to supplant reality (in your mind) with theoretical constructs that don't actually exist.
You've got to believe and trust in the dogma of liberalism to such a degree, that when confronted with such things as evidence, proof, existence, results, facts, logic, reason, effects, OR the lack thereof, you simply dismiss such realities out of hand.
In that wise, merely stating a thing makes it so, or makes it not so. Calling a patriot a bigot or a traitor is all that's required to prove to other liberals that such a person is indeed, a bigot or traitor.
Strangely enough, liberals also tend to redefine words in such a way, that those words convey new meanings never known or intended. Affordable now means unaffordable. Peace now means war. Tolerance now means intolerance. Fair share now means unfair burden. Families now means unnatural humanoid unions. Transparent now means blackout secrecy....ad infinitum.
In that vein, it's hard to see liberals giving Hillary a pass on uttering certain words or phrases that have already been baked into their lexicon as verboten and evil.
Liberals redefine words as you describe because they are liars. They are purposely trying to deceive with those intentional misapplication of words. Our government seems to have mastered this technique, which is why I don’t believe anything our government says.
As far as liberals giving her a pass on use of certain words, I’m not sure whether they will or not, because one thing exceeds every other consideration, and that is power. They must have it, and they must wield it over others. Any vessel that can achieve this goal will suffice. Others will be held accountable, but not those who can deliver the goods.
But also, as far as does using such terms as have been mentioned making a person evil or not, I think it’s hard to apply that particular word to such a thing.
Words such as those, racist slurs that is, can be used in a number of ways and for various reasons. That can be used causally with no intent to harm, and they can be used in anger in order to express that emotion, and they can be used directly to others in order to offend or harm emotionally, and they can also be used mistakenly.
They are words in our language, sounds that we make that have various meaning and uses attached. In and of themselves, they aren’t good or evil, they are neutral.
Personally, I’m not going to hold Hillary Clinton accountable for words used, and I’m not going to hold trump accountable for words used.
There are greater things to consider. What have they done, and what will they do? That is the stuff that matters in the end.
Can use of words reveal true character? Maybe. I don’t know. I use colorful language. I say bad words. The mods know. I have a foul mouth sometimes. Does that mean I am man of ill character? I’m not. I know that despite mistakes I’ve made, and despite words that I use, I am one of the good guys.
But if you look at the content of a person’s life and focus on the actions they took, there you will see the character of a person truly.
I believe Trump has a far, far greater character than the Clintons. I think the Clintons are true scum.
