Trump is a Christian and it is a sin and a sanctimonious jerk to judge him otherwise.

America is a degraded country.

There are PLENTY of potential politicians who are not deeply corrupted, false and cynical as the Clintons, nor are they are tape talking about groping women. There are plenty of decent, humble Americans who would deal with the American people honestly.

But Americans would not vote for such a candidate.

If Christians are worried about voting for the person, then vote for what they stand for instead.

Trump stands for a well funded military , he's against Obama care, he's against Government over regulation, he's for school choice, he's for controlling the borders and will put an end to the flood of illegals invading our country.

Hillary? She stands for being an evil dictator.

A Christian like Churchill?

Did you ever read the man's biography?

We have not had a lifetime committed Christian in the White House since Calvin Coolidge or possibly even Rutherford B. Hayes.

While I might agree in principle, Christians who should know better were spewing childish name falling rhetoric in support of a foreign born globalist who embraced a theology that is seven parts Jehovah's Witness, two parts Benny Hinn, and one part David Koresh from the early days of this campaign. That has caused a lot of people here to look closely at any candidate somebody CLAIMS is Christian. Too many pretenders out there and too little discernment in promoting any and every candidate who asserts them-self to be what they often are not.

This is most effective when dealing with the Congress, and state legislatures. Congress has the Constitutional power to reign in a rogue CIC or even a corrupt Supreme Court.

The Legislative branch is the problem, not the President. That is where the focus should be. The Christian Founders set it up that way.

But I am VERY hesitant if the “Christian” is a Mormon. Sorry, but I have come to have a very jaundice eye watching how many times they stabbed me in the back during this election cycle.

Sure, not all Mormons. But I will only take them one at a time. Not in groups. Watch my back.

I understand your position but it is wrong.
We cannot continue to hope that "someone else" is going to bring this nation back to its G*d-centered roots. Someone else will not do it. "I", "ME", have to repent and turn my face to His Divine face.
I, myself, have to stop hoping for a national savior. I must turn myself back to the Savior. That is where change begins.

We need citizens who truly profess to be Christians acting like it.

Be willing to be changed by God, Stand up, Speak up, Teach children, help hold fellow adults accountable, and all the other biblical things many churches have slacked on through the last 50 or so years.

We are a nation who has gone weak and let our pulpits be neutered all for a tax break, worrying about increasing congregation size rather than well rounded teachings and not rocking the boat with people while evil has been slowly and now more rapidly growing like a deadly disease taking over our country.

I think the president is not nearly as important as the nation’s people.

Like God used non believing leaders in the bible and I think constantine was not a believer at first either but was used at that time in history to sustain Christianity from being snuffed out. There are plenty of other leaders and unknown people over time too who stepped up and did right by God without caring what it may cost them. God is looking for any willing person to use mightily.

In many cases it was Believing/Christian people who by example or word touched the hearts of those who got their name in bigger font in the history books, but we are not here for the fame.

It’s God’s glory, that shines through a solid sincere humble Christian and touches the heart/eye of the leader that then the leader does some thing amazingly unthinkable for us, but completely possible with God in it.

we don’t need a Christian president. we need to help each other grow to be fuller Christians and look for opportunities to serve God wherever He asks us to in society.

I preach to myself also :)

I am a Christian, but I’m not silly enough to think that being a Christian qualifies me to be president of US.

The Christian God is wildly good and makes counter-intuitive moves such as choosing a Persian king to protect the Jewish people, chooses a baby to save the world, dies on a cross only to resurrect and defeat evil. Be careful because I believe God is using a secular man to defeat secular leftist.

I think Christians need to stop thinking that the pastoral type makes for an automatic warrior. I see what’s on TV passing for pastors and I’m not impressed.

As a Catholic I know it would be a mortal sin to for Hillary against a pro-life candidate so she would never get my vote but I can’t wait to vote for Trump because of the things he says he will do if president.

Go Donald!!!!!

Totally agree ... but it's not going to happen.

I made a lot of contributions to a candidate I believe to be a genuine Christian, Rick Santorum. He came in an honorable 2nd or 3rd in the last two presidential primary runs. But had he tried running again, I don't think he would have made it past 5%.

Same thing with Huckabee - not my favorite candidate, but a genuine Christian, and would have made a fine president. He did well in past primaries, but I don't think he would've had a chance this year either.

This year I supported Cruz ... but I think the forces of evil would've crushed him long ago, had he won the nomination instead of Trump.

Trump is still in it, and Trump is the best we've got. We have to hope he will grow in office. I believe he has already shown indications he is capable of this.

It’s in a wikileak. They thought Cruz, Trump or Carson would be as easy to beat as Sanders.

...what suggested he was alien to Christianity was his assertion that he had nothing to be forgiven for.

If he has accepted Christ then his sin was taken away; maybe that's the way he understands God's mercy. He needs time and counseling to grow in the faith, to understand that we remain sinners saved by grace.

I personally don’t think letting every one of the 7 Billion people on Earth that can make it to our shores, take up permanent residence in our country is “the Christian” thing to do. Some seem to feel otherwise. They are the problem.
