They are trying to assure their own viability in Utah and vicinity. “I’m out” is ridiculous concerning someone who has never really been in. But these mountain states are safe for Trump except maybe Nevada and Colorado, which he will probably eventually take as well. The Mormon voters aren’t as stupid as these poobahs think they are.

I found the most interesting irony to me is that, at least here in Pennsylvania, those Mormons that I know like Trump, but for some reason, the Mormon politicians absolutely hate him. Wonder why?
