Donald Trump says hell jail opponent Hillary Clinton if he wins the presidency.
The Republican presidential nominee made the threat an unprecedented break with U.S. political decorum in the middle of the second presidential debate, held Sunday in St. Louis. [ ]
Trump's remarks drew widespread and bipartisan condemnation as un-American.
Former Attorney General Eric Holder, who served under President Barack Obama, wrote on Twitter: In the USA we do not threaten to jail political opponents. @realDonaldTrump said he would. He is promising to abuse the power of the office.
Ari Fleischer, White House press secretary under George W. Bush and a supporter of Trump, wrote: Winning candidates dont threaten to put opponents in jail. Presidents dont threaten prosecution of individuals. Trump is wrong on this.

Slightly off-topic, but on this AP page I count no less than 19 AP Fact Check articles about the second debate, trying to debunk Trumps claims.
“an unprecedented break with U.S. political decorum “
Bwhahahahahahahaha whine from the losers at AP
Hey idiots, she broke the law, she goes to jail.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww poor snowflakes at the Associated Depressed are extra depressed tonight..get some Xanax and call it a night
That was the Trump I wanted to see.
“Condemned” by her ‘RAT comrades. This wouldn’t be “unexpected”. They too should be in jail. They need to keep her out of jail or they could possibly be in there with her.
Shameful of those people.
For most people, ignorance of the law is no excuse. For Hillary, it’s a matter of “intent”. “Oh, I didn’t mean to break the law”.
Eric Holder should be jailed too, along with Bill Ayers.
He didn’t say that. He said she deserves to be in jail, and if he wins he will see that a Special Prosecutor is appointed to investigate her.
Trump said he'd appoint a special prosecutor to look into her issues. Interesting that most Americans do believe she's guilty of crimes, of one sort or another.
I believe an unsecured top secret server in the bathroom of a secretary of state is also “unprecedented” in US political history. Not that the presstitutes would give a darn about that. But they’ve got their marching orders now obviously.
Political parties aren't supposed to nominate criminals. But the Bushies don't care about that.
She’s a criminal, Eric.
Just like everyone in the government aiding and abetting the cover up of her OBVIOUS CRIMES, including the Director of the FBI and the Attorney General!
If she had actually been administered justice, I would agree it would be a stupid threat.
But the entire system was rigged. She skirted justice.
Thats why people applauded.
These people do not understand hyperbole or strong ideas.
Hillary would need a trial. But she has committed felonies in such great quantity that she may be convicted if there were ever fairness in this country.
It was a great comment. People who have done less have spent time behind bars. It is a possibility.
It will be interesting to see what the polls say about us meaningless people’s thought of the comment.
unprecedented
That is a word we have been hearing a lot these days regarding Hillary Clinton - in a bad way
Well not exactly, Eric - the head of the FBI was the one who said that anyone else who did what she did would be arrested. Trump is simply saying he'd not let her off the hook she's already on after a through FBI investigation.
LMFAO All he said was that if he were president he’d enforce the law. And we damn well need it. He said he will appoint a special prosecutor. Good, that’s fair.
These bastards are destroying the Rule Of Law every damn day. Just maybe there is a law for the Clintons??
OH, and btw on CNN before the debate they were saying that Trump’s talk on the bus was about things people go to JAIL over - So they can shove their false sense of decorum.
