Back then men held their private talks in confidence. Like JFK — all in the press knew what he was doing. But it would have been rude to ‘out’ him in public and hurt his family.
Sexual harassment laws were the only reason why anyone bothered to expose Bill Clinton. And the democrats thought it was ‘rude’ to uphold the law on their annointed one.
