I’m not giving up. Over this? That would be silly. But it’s equally silly to say this isn’t devastating. And whether he survives this, we will get one of these every 3-4 days til the election, and the “best” ones will come last. If you’re not downgrading Trump’s chances after this, with the understanding that this is just the first rock in the avalanche, you’re not a patriot, you’ve got your head stuck down a hole.
The upside is, if Trump can pull this off after all this — and my gut feeling is still that he will win, which I don’t understand at all since my brain says he’s done — “Hillary Clinton” becomes a term like Velcro or Xerox, and it means “biggest, most incompetent political loser ever.” That would be so sweet. She would go to her grave knowing that she’s a laughingstock. After spending her entire adult life denying herself any joy or pleasure, and forcing herself to endure and even aid and abet a rapist husband, after destroying all those lives and careers in order to advance her political career, after all that, she closes her eyes for the last time knowing that her place in history is alongside the likes of George Wallace and Michael Dukakis. She wanted the presidency in part to get revenge on Bill; instead, people will say no wonder Bill kept running to other women, look at how vile his wife was.
Yes it’s my first post here. Been lurking forever but I’ve never felt a desire to post before. Trump really is shaking things up, he’s making it impossible to remain on the sidelines. His candidacy is reminding me of 9/11, in that that was when I realized I love this country. I don’t like Donald, I think he’s a jackass. I’m not following Donald. I’m following the banner he’s carrying. I don’t think I’m alone in this. I think this is why he’s so immune to what would kill a conventional pol. I mean all these leftists are screaming at me, “Donald is terrible!” And I yell back “I know!” And they’re at a complete loss. They don’t know what to say to me lol.
