Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has pulled to within two points in a four-way matchup for New Hampshire, according to the latest Boston Globe/Suffolk University poll released on Wednesday.
The two-point gap in the survey of 500 likely New Hampshire voters is well within the polls margin of error of 4.4 percent. Four presidential candidates registered support in the poll, with Democratic nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton at 44 percemt, Trump at 42 percent, Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson at 5 percent, and Green Party nominee Jill Stein at 1 percent.
The five previous polls of a four-way matchup in New Hampshire had shown Libertarian candidate Johnson with double-digit support ranging from 10-15 percent. Trump was twice as likely to be named as the second choice for respondents supporting either Johnson or Stein.
The Boston Globe/Suffolk University poll suggests that a series of embarrassing gaffes are taking a toll on Johnson in New Hampshire and that Trump is the primary beneficiary. Johnson has struggled with basic foreign policy questions in recent weeks, including when he had to ask, What is Aleppo? and couldnt name a single world-leader he admires or couldnt name the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un.

Gee, weren’t the Dem Shill for Shrill claiming that Puff the Magic Dragon was syphoning more votes from her than from Donald? I guess that was just another lie from a bunch of pathological liars.
Don’t tell the Nervous Nellies.
You know who Nervous Nellie #1 Son is? Laura Ingraham! What a wuss she is.
As I predicted. Most people don’t want to waste their vote so at the last minute they go for one of the major candidates.
Exactly, and remember the source too.
I don’t know anything about Gary Johnson, I don’t know anything about this woman running for the Green Party, but I do know who I am voting for and who I am not voting for. but my gut tells me but there will be a lot of early calling for Hillary Clinton come election day regardless of how many precincts have reported.
Bravo, exactly. I was fencing with one of these idiots this am(Clue he has two NE state names in his username). They get suicidal when they see a poll drop 1%. I think JimRob ,and this is his sandboox, should take a stand like he did with the #nevertrumpers. Poll threads are for stating the facts, verbal flourishes of hyperbole, or negative emoting just for the sake of self-medicating will not be tolerating. That one step would clean up things like it did with banning the aforementioned deranged Cruzbots. Solid skepticism based on facts and trends is helpful, taking your Beta male frustration out in a thread is not.
I guess the question is, who will johnson’s 8%, that will not vote for him, vote come election day? evenly split, or will it favor one of the candidates?
I would bet most will go to Trump, not hillary.
YOU don’t know who Gary Johnson is??
Johnson and his running mate are both FORMER GOVERNORS..
ONE A DRUGGIE THE OTHER A DRUNK...just take a guess who is who...your choice...both work...wink~wink.
Not necessarily. W won NH first time around, lost it second, didn’t win anything else in the region.
I think it’s possible he will win NH, ME-2, outside shot at all ME.
I think RI, VT, CT, NY are a bridge too far.
Gary seems to be falling apart. Maybe he just had a two bad weeks. Or maybe he has risen as far as he is capable at this time. A. The sticking out my tongue during a televised interview moment.
B. What is Aleppo? C. I can’t think of who my favorite world leader is.
D. Why is your VP candidate endorsing Hillary for president?
And they try to dampen enthusiasm for Trump, thereby helping Hillary. Must be one hell of a set of "principles" they are working with.....
What this means is the NeverTrumps are melting away and realizing that it is time to get serious about America’s future.
Good advice, point made!!!
I’ve just never been this involved in a General Election before (and politics is my number one passion).
There is, as you say, a lot at stake, to put it mildly.
Yesterday, the trends were in Trump’s favor, it seemed.
And, I am also reading posts about how deals are being struck between Anderson Cooper and Martha Raddatz to ambush Trump in Sunday’s debate. It will, no doubt, be three against one. They will be doing everything possible to aid the wicked witch. We will never see her get a question like the one in the Commander-in-Chief forum last month.
It’s not just the polls, it’s the MSM collusion (being an extension of her campaign)!!!
I have been told by my closest relative that I shouldn’t allow all of this to eat away at me because it’s beyond my control!
I only dread the prospect of her winning that will signal the death of our country—that is honestly on life support!!
well.. based on the polling afterwards the strategy he employed didn’t work.
Internals? Until I see the demos, I never take any poll at face value - good or bad relative to my personal hopes.
I figured it was a lie that Johnson was taking more from Clinton.
