Look, Hurricane Matthew is going to be bad. Real bad. It's currently a Category 4, and there's a good chance it will be the strongest hurricane to hit the mid- and upper-Atlantic Coast of Florida in years. There will be extensive property damage. The Kennedy Space Center is at serious risk. There's a danger Zika could spread like wildfire in the aftermath. If residents stay, they are putting themselves in extreme peril.
Fox News' Shepard Smith just made that abundantly clear on air. Let's go to the videotape:
Shep is a Florida Man himselfor at least set up shop there for 11 years. Maybe it's a little personal for him. But he really went in here:
"This moves 20 miles to the west, you and everyone you know are dead. All of you...and your kids die, too."
Earlier in the day, he also posed this question to a Florida Woman refusing to evacuate:
Shemp is a drama queen. That said Matthew is no joke and should not be underestimated. The bottom fell out of the barometer today very bad sign.
.....Or have Mr. Trump do just like he did in LA this past summer, help with emergency aid.
In Texas, we had a sheriff who sent his deputies to go door-to-door in coastal town as a Category 4 hurricane approached. They knocked on the door and ask the head of the house “Do you plan to evacuate before the storm arrives?”
If the answer was no, they’d say “Well, then would you mind filling out these toe tags and putting them on? It will make it so much easier for us to identify you later.” Hand them the tags and go back to their car.
Worst part will be the snakes that show up everywhere — and some open graves.
The media is the main problem in the USA
You are describing my family as well. Grandmother (father’’s side) went to finishing school and had elocution lessons.
I was just watching the hurricane coverage on the Weather Channel. These two idiots are talking and basically saying nothing. My guess is they have over hyped this storm really bad. Unless it comes onshore somewhere there will be some wind and a storm surge with property damage along the beach and that’s about it.
Snakes = Belts and Hat Bands and a Fry Daddy excursion from Fish.
Youngsters get busy and be careful, I will get everything else ready.
The hysteria over this hurricane is epic.
People have been dealing with hurricanes for eons.
Some survive and some don’t.
This is the way it has been. Its’ called NATURE.
What a lot of these hysterical people want is no nature, no risk, no natural anything. They would vote to outlaw hurricanes if they could.
Yes, they are dangerous to people. So are tsunamis, and floods and tornados, and earthquakes, and volcanos ...
Got plenty of that on my mom’s side, but they got the hell outta the Rhineland... German-speaking Palatines.
Well, Andrew came ashore in 93 across Miami and it was a category 5. But everybody didn’t die. These over reactions by people supposed to be responsible reporters are nothing more than hyper-sensationalism.
The smart ones beat the rush to get outta Europe by a century!
I agree. I got attacked by quite a few posters on this site on one or 2 of the Hurricane Mathew threads for daring to actually have the audacity to type words that said that Mathew wouldn’t be as bad as the media and the government agencies made it out to be.
I’m sure the media and gov agencies want it to be an Armageddon and that’s the way they’ve been reporting it.
Liberalism like the original liar says we are gods. When something comes along to show we aren’t gods libs go nuts.
WTF, Shep? Chicken Little much, Shep?
I was planning to take the kids to the beach to build some sand castles this weekend, but if Shep says we shouldn’t go ...... /S
Police were going around in a dump truck trying to get holdouts to evacuate while there was still time. The police chief asked one stubborn couple to write their names and Social Security numbers on their forearms in black magic marker “in case something bad were to happen.” They soon changed their minds, and police were wading an aluminum boat through floodwaters to rescue them.
Hurricane Matthew’s eye could make landfall in Brevard County near Cape Canaveral early Friday morning. A Category 4 hurricane has never hit Brevard County before.
If its current wind speeds hold, Matthew would be the most powerful storm to strike the continental U.S. since 2005.
He’s not only a drama queen, but often downright wrong.
I hope this is the final straw.
