Russia has ordered the US not to carry out airstrikes on Syrian army positions, warning that sophisticated air defence systems are now up and running. Putin has ordered the deployment of S-300 and S-400 units in order to protect troops on the ground. And Russian army bosses have warned that the weapons' radius may be 'a surprise' to unidentified planes, helicopters and drones in the area, according to Russia Today . Russia says it has deployed the anti-aircraft batteries because members of the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria are working “ on the ground ” delivering aid.

Gee, the Russians deployed the S300 & 400 series anti-aircraft missile systems to stop the Syrian rebel air force.
Great propaganda line since the rebels don’t have any planes and hardly any anti-aircraft missiles to stop the Russians or Syrians.
Now, wait for Secy of Defense Carter to say, “OK, we’ll back off” so that the Russians will have complete control of the sky even in the US operational air regions.
Russia is winning in Syria due to Obama’s cowardice and sheer incompetence re the civil war in that country, aided and abetted by the incompetence of the previous JCS chief Dempsey and his asskissing toadies, the total incompetence of both Hillary Clinton and John Kerry (who was almost never competent at anything), and the stupidity of Ashton Carter and his staff of losers.
