Who are these other kids? Why did the police not interrogate them if the other kids are kids other than the three detained? If they are the other kids who are the ones involved, then why would the sheriff say that they told him a completely different story? Besides, when did the aunt get the opportunity to talk to these boys involved? So far we are only hearing his aunt's claims. I believe that is considered hearsay and is not admissible in a court of law. Now I am not saying that this is not an accurate statement, but standing alone it carries little weight, as it should.
I have always been one to wait until I get more facts. It is easy to take someone's statements and treat them as gospel, but way too often they bear out to be inaccurate. This is especially true in these heart wrenching types of cases, because emotions run so high.
