Update from Columbus County,NC - power is still out, I’m posting on my Fire tablet using a Verizon cellular connection. We had two people drown here in my area when their car was swept into deep water, and our local downtown is flooded. I’m staying with a friend in town because my farm home is in a low-lying area and vulnerable to flooding. I’m not looking forward to seeing whether I’ll be able to stay there tonight.

I need to sign off now to save my battery. Will try to check back in later today after I’ve had a chance to get out and take a look around. Thanks, Caww for all the pics!

Sorry to hear so much flooding there.....do you know why it is the people were drowned, the city made it quite clear it takes very little water to sweep away a car into flood waters that can take life.....

Lots of water in the Carolina's....North Carolina here....

Last update I was aware of is 699 people have been rescued in Cumberland County, North Carolina. Number is expected to rise.

Lots of flooding in Whiteville and Bladenboro

the flooding in Lumberton, NC
