Hurricane Matthew is big, bad and just downright scary, with iminent and sustained impacts to U.S. mainland. Florida Governor Rick Scott issued a state of emergency for all of Florida and disaster operations are activated. More than 1.5 million Floridians reside in current evacuation zones. Governor Scott has spoken with utilities across the state to ensure utilities are pre-positioned and there are no unmet needs. Multiple coastal hospitals have been evacuated. Meanwhile, feckless President Barack Hussein Obama is personally monitoring the progress of the storm.

Meanwhile...Fayetteville really got hammered hard.....
From what I’ve been looking at the Carolina’s actually are getting a lot more storm surge flooding throughout...e than the rest of the coast line did in other states ......and they aren’t finished yet.....
It seems they were getting a great deal of the band rain before it actually came up to their area.....as it looped around Georgia etc......so they were already saturated before it even got there......thus the flooding is really bad as there was no where for the water to go ..............

My nephew may have not lost his boat on Dataw Island. Some are saying it is a half mile down on the bank.

There is some relief in knowing the location of the vessel. Hopefully, it is secure in its current location.

Funny how the downcasters are nowhere to be found now that the Carolinas are flooding. Anyone who follows hurricanes know the primary killer is always water. I guess the residents should just go into their basements for a nice swim.

Looking at the local radar it looks like the storm is a lot further up the coast than NC
I see no evidence of it TURNING
Looks like it is tracking NE and dumping rain all along the coast MD NJ and up
