With Excel, if one has flat files or spreadsheet workbooks one can build a pivot table within a spreadsheet. It allows one to extract consolidated, specific information from an almost unmanageable huge data array, i.e., who contributed to congress critter x and what dollar amount.

Someone out there is more current than I am and could probably build this fairly quickly if the file formats were agreeable. My MS Office is almost 20 years old, and while it works great for my needs, is probably not as robust a platform as one would want in this case. A database program might also work but I think would take extra work.

I’ve pivoted the big donor data file (993 rows).

What do you want to know?
