Kaine thinks that the fact that her fellow Senators liked Crooked is a sign she can unite the country? She advocated for some federal giveaway programs, and that is unifying? Buy loyalty with other people's money.

Pence has the same question, how will your ticket unify with the opposition? Change in Washington, DC (Strong country, jobs a substantial implied means, "building"). Good answer. Make the DEMs busy and give them the financial reward of their work, and they won't have time or inclination to mount opposition.

Moderator lost this debate. Kaine came in second.

Kaine came across horribly. He won zero votes for Crooked Hillary tonight. Pence lost zero votes for Trump. Pence won a lot of undecided for Trump.

Jake Tapper echos Kaine's claim - Kaine accuses Trump of half a dozen things (and all of Kaine's accusations were true, says Tapper) and Pence does not defend. Tapper thinks Kaine will be declared the winner by the press, not tonight, but as the press reviews the debate and discovers that Kaine's accusations were accurate and went unrebutted.

CNN Gloria Borger - Pence is better at attacking Clinton than defending Trump (same theme Tapper set up)

She also thinks that Pence not defending against the attacks on Trump somehow proves the validity of the attacks.

Axlerod said Kaine did great on abortion, guns. Kaine, says Axlerod, won the abortion question. Tapper agrees.

Smerconish goives the debate to Pence on points, he is better than Trump.

CNNs focus group, 20 undecided ... vast majority pick Kaine as the winner. I kid you not! Tapper discloses the group is in Virginia, and probably voted for Kaine.

Theme: Pence did not defend Trump, therefore the accusations can't be defended.
