Sprinkles, but mostly dried up by morning, thank goodness.
I seem to get called every two years. You need a doctor’s note to get out of it, but you can opt out permanently at 70...15 months away. d:o)
Sunday night’s call was 1-187, Monday night’s was 188-244. I have to call 3 more nights, but my number is 665. I should be safe. I’ve served enough times.
Sure glad you were able to talk your way out. Sitting can be a killer for us mobility impaired.
Good that it had dried up. But it sounds like it won’t be long before y’all are slip-sliding your way to work. :-(
Last year was the first year I’d ever gotten a notice for jury duty. And it was for grand jury, which can go on for quite a while. I knew my back would never survive it so decided to try to get out of it.
No doctor’s note required. I simply mentioned a bum back from a car accident and one gal asked if I was able to sit for lengthy periods and I said, “Oh heck no! I have to get up and walk around often.” She said she’d take my name off the list permanently and I was ever so grateful. I was worried about getting in trouble if I couldn’t go through with it if/when called. Now there’s no more worry. Whew!
