“Pope Francis has nevertheless chosen to refer to a woman who underwent a sex-change operation as a “man,” and also referred to her as having “married” another woman and admitted to receiving them in the Vatican last year.”

Gee, and I thought that is a quote directly from the article?

The Pope received “a letter from a Spaniard who told me”.... the Pope did not declare this person as woman or man, nor married or not. The Pope referenced that the person stated this or that, it’s called context to help you understand the story.

Read the direct quote at the end and juxtapose it to the quote in the article that you then misinterpreted.
