Jeff Gordon living in a Manhattan high rise comes as no surprise to people who have heard all the tales and rumors that have dogged him for years.

In no particular order:
- BLM super bowl half time show
- Spy Gate
- Obviously rigged
- Too many penalties . . . probably designed to control the game
- Pink cleats in october
- Say “Football is family” but let their players piss on the American flag.

Some are suggesting that the anthem protests are causing fans to boycott the NFL, but it’s hard to see a connection between the objections to the behavior of a small group of players and the decision of significant numbers of fans to deprive themselves of something they enjoy.

Get a clue, dumbass writer, a fair number of Americans don't enjoy sporting events when they tune in and see a bunch of spoiled, pampered athletes disrespecting the flag and anthem. They don't like being dissed by those spoiled athletes when they tuned to see an entertaining sport, not a statement of political views by any spoiled participants.

I hope the drop off in viewership continues at 10% to 15% or more all season. Then maybe these empty headed owners and the commissioner will get a clue and prohibit such workplace protests.

And Target is absolutely puzzled why their sales are down.

I hope the this also will translate in lower ticket sales and purchases of jerseys and apparel. But I bet the NFL and sports media will still be scratching their heads over this. (eyes rolling)

I stopped supporting people that obviously hate everything I am and stand for.

No more TV. No Facebook. No Twitter. No NFL/NBA. No Hollywood products of any kind.

Not a penny from me. Not one red cent.

To hell with them all.

Sort of like when no one can figure out the motive when a guy named Mohammed shoots up a gay bar.

That should hit home. I fear it won’t.

The only flag the NFL respects, is green. Money!

Take it away from them.

If TV viewership gets bad enough that it affects team profits, and then the player's union contract, which is hugely based on TV revenue, I think that would knock some sense into players and owners and maybe even the blockheaded commissioner.

The Kaepernick stuff may be a factor, but I think it is just a result of the sports glut. We have football coming out our ears, and the game is dominated by the zebras and the replay cameras. The players are superbly competent but also they are merely interchangeable parts. Use once and throw away. If you don’t like your hometown team, it’s more fun to watch a better team. And it’s not likely that your hometown team is one of the good ones.

This year there are a record 41 college bowl games in the holiday season. I predict dismal ratings for them, too. There’s just too much else to watch.

You’re joking, right?

You don’t seriously believe that NFL viewership has been trending up, slowly and steadily year after year after year, and then suddenly collapses 20% because of a glut?

If Kaelernick apologized today and all the protests stopped the ratings wouldn’t change enough to notice.

Mexicans are huge Broncos fans and have been for a long time.

Everybody is naming their favorite peeve as the answer and they are all wrong.

Dangus pretty much nailed my position. I used to watch pretty much 3 NFL games per weekend for years. This year I stopped cold turkey. There’s only one reason.

The protest thing is obviously the big reason. I think suspending Brady when there was no real evidence against him. At least that I saw, and the terrible officiating. A DB tackles a WR after a catch and gets a big penalty, is a joke. The NFL is falling apart under Goodell.

"The denial is strong ..." What the NFL and other liberal-infested organizations are displaying with their lack of understanding related to the consequences of their policies is not "denial."

It's pre-operational egocentrism.

This is a stage of early childhood development (as described by Piaget) wherein the child believes that the world must surely function in the way the child sees it to function. For example, if the child hides his eyes while standing right in front of you, he assumes you cannot see him because he cannot see you. The child operates under the absolute conviction that something is true (or correct, or even rightfully his) simply because he believes it to be so. For example, the child takes toys that he desires from the hands of others, and becomes disruptive to the point of violence when his wishes are refused.

During this stage of development, the child is incapable of understanding the connection between bad behavior and consequences. This is why, for example, when an adult takes the toy away from the child and returns it to its original possessor, the child insists that the toy is his and may even act out to the point of hitting the owner of the toy or the adult who corrects the child, or even breaking the toy so that nobody else can enjoy it.

So there you have it: Hollywood, Target, Black Lives Matter, the LGBT movement, University faculties, our government at all levels, and the NFL are led and staffed by people who never moved past the pre-operational egocentrism stage of development.

In other words, we are surrounded on all sides by a crowd of spoiled, whiny brats who would rather steal from others and pee in the sandbox than take the values of others into consideration and assume responsibility for themselves.

The children are running the daycare.
