Donald Trumps hotel and casino company secretly spent money trying to do business in Cuba in violation of the U.S. trade embargo, Newsweek reported Thursday in a story that could endanger the Republican presidential nominees Cuban-American support in South Florida. Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts paid at least $68,000 to a consulting firm in late 1998 in an
Digging deep to try to put off Trump supporters, aren’t they? Only coming up with items from the 90’s.......I want to see a picture of Bill’s Energizer on the front page of the New York Post. She’s a current scandal, at least.
This is an excerpt...but the Miami media is DROOLING over this crap.... still NOT A SINGLE REPORT I have seen in the Miami media about the VERIFIED corruption at the Clinton Foundation regarding the Haitian earthquake relief. Not one.
Maybe this leftist rag should be looking at Obama and Hitlery for REAL SERIOUS CRIMES and seditious acts against the American public.
Oh noes!!! The Hispanics are trying to get off the reservation! (channeling the Miami Herald).
I thought Obama broke the Cuban embargo? This is throw-crap-on-the-wall journalism.
Hit piece by a dirt bag Trump hater. He makes National Review look like Trump supporters. Have a look on twitter at his garbage dump if you want.
A story at the time said Trump had met Soviet Ambassador Yuri Dubinin, who mentioned how much his daughter had admired the "opulent" Trump Tower in New York City. This led to an invitation to Trump to visit the USSR. The story said Dubinin wrote a letter to Trump, who hosted a meeting with Soviet officials in New York.

Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts paid at least $68,000 to a consulting firm in late 1998 in an attempt to give Trumps business a head start in Cuba if the U.S. loosened or lifted trade sanctions, according to the front-page Newsweek report, titled The Castro Connection.
In other words, nothing illegal or improper

Positive spin: he was ahead of the curve, exploring what would happen if the embargo was lifted, he wanted to be ready. Leading, not from behind. If the next debate asks such questions he should ask, with a long, pregnant pause, “Really, seriously, that is a question?”
WOW! Donald Trump is ahead of the times, AGAIN! He sent someone to Cuba before Obama! ;-)
Oh my God. 68 grand for a consulting fee. How much did Bill and Hillary make in selling access to the US government?
Bump
This happened 18 years ago, if something was wrong, there’s sure been a lot of time to remedy it.
No way in hell would anyone with a brain switch to Hillary over something like this.
They obviously think Trump supporters are as stupid/ignorant as Clinton supporters ; )
Response pattern:
1) This was a LEGAL exploratory business venture in response to potential government policy decisions (which Trump couldnt control), which could have helped the Cuban people (not the government; if so, no deal), but doesnt hurt Americans (no factories would move)
2) This is because, as a businessman, Trump takes action and wins, unlike Hillary, who is endless talking and cronyism
3) ATTACK: Clinton Crime Family ripped off Haiti
This is what the media does. They dig into the past to find something on a Republican. Then deliberately and intentionally don’t do this for democrats and others America-haters.
