White House Watch: Clinton 42%, Trump 41%, Johnson 7%, Stein 2%
Rasmussen ^ | 9/29/16 | Rasmussen Reports

Posted on 09/29/2016 5:32:29 AM PDT by NYC-RepublicanCT

Following Monday night’s debate, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are running virtually even in Rasmussen Reports’ first daily White House Watch survey.

Our latest national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Clinton with 42% support to Trump’s 41%. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson earns seven percent (7%) of the vote, while Green Party nominee Jill Stein holds steady at two percent (2%). Three percent (3%) still like some other candidate, and five percent (5%) remain undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Trump had been moving ahead over the two previous weeks and held a 44% to 39% lead over Clinton last week at this time. It was the first time he had been ahead since mid-July.

Eighty percent (80%) say they are sure which candidate they will vote for, and among these voters, Clinton and Trump are tied with 48% support each. Among voters who say they could still change their minds, it’s Clinton 34%, Trump 33%, Johnson 25% and Stein 8%.

We’ll know for sure next debate which Trump shows up. He left too much hanging fruit on the vine, but I don’t think you’ll see that happening in the next two debates. He knows the stakes are too high for another subpart performance. Hillary took her best shots. Now it’s Trump’s turn.

“Gallup: Democrats who ‘will definitely vote’ at 16-year low”

_______________________

That is why I question polls when they sample dems at several percentage points above the GOP. If there is going to be a low dem turnout, then they should not be several points above the republicans. At best, they should be even.

The Rasputin poll always had Clinton ahead until last week, when it showed Trump up. I believe that was done so it could give Clinton a post debate bump. That’s what this poll is.

Noticed you joined FR two weeks ago. It must give you great pain to post the “bad news” about Trump’s decline in the poll.

The political Fed also raised interest rates just in time to crash the Market in 2008. now the Federal Reserve has kept interest rates the lowest ever near zero for all of Obama’s term exactly to get Hillary elected now. The establishment and the left don’t want Trump because Trump is the only one that is not corrupt and owned and is the only one the is for America and we the people.

42% to 41% is a dead heat well within the MOE. Not bad. The race is very close.

Have you viewed the Hannity/Gingrich interview after the debate? Please watch it because it beautifully refute much of what you just posted which should make you feel a check of a lot better as will the NYPost story about dems, independents breaking for Trump after debate in heavy dem PA county. And last but not least, read t the Dilbert creators piece on why Trump losing the debate Monday night won him the election.

I’m not saying to avoid polls that one dislikes and have a Romney happen again. What I am saying is contrast and compare using common sense. Conventional wisdom right now is sampling dems at 2012 and 2008 levels. Google is showing dem willingness to vote at 16year low. In 2008 and in 2012 Obama commanded social media; Trump commands social media now. Obama was pulling in tens of thousands to his rallies; Trump is now. And Hillary can’t generate more than 2200 counting staff if she is lucky.

The demonicrats were leaning hard on Scott. When I saw a 10% offset in the results I found out that Rasmussen was no longer Rasmussen but was taken over by liberals. I trust them about as much as CNN.

I really don’t understand how anyone can change their minds about something so important, and so based in your values.

1) Most people still get most of their 'information' from Big Media. Heck, even on this forum, the threads generally originate with Big Media sources.

2) Half the population is below average.

If you hang around political sites you start to believe that everyone is as informed as you, but sadly the reality is we live in a country full of morons.

See Jay-walking or Sean Hannity’s man on street or any other similar you tube videos where they ask “typical” people about topics of the day. That’s the norm, you being informed are the unusual one. Idiocracy is almost here. Hell, Kim Kardashian has 40+ million followers on Instragram for Christ sake.

Ask most people who are voting for Hillary why and you will get stupid answers like “Democrats are for the little guys”, “Hillary cares about people like me and wants to help”, “I liked JFK”, “Donald Trump is a racist”

So while you and I and every other Freeper easily sees past Hilliary’s and the media’s lies, most people in this country are too F&*#@ stupid to put 2 & 2 together and are easily duped.

And sad to say it’s not just Democrats and Independent voters, most Republican voters are morons too. Just look how Linda Granham, Juan McCain and Paul Ryan keep winning their primaries by 65%+

That’s lame. Can’t argue the points, so that’s your fallback? I posted the Ras poll last week, where Trump was +5

>>I hope to see a better performance in the next debate.<<

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I am developing a theory that “Crooked Hillary” is not getting the job done. Her voters have already accepted that, including the emails, all the scandals, Benghazi etc.

I think the key is to wake them up to the CORRUPTION. That’s what they have not yet understood.

Start with Marc Rich and walk it forward, how they accumulated a great fortune by selling her Office and future Office.
