The American people hate the media as all polling on the matter shows. They saw Lester Holt not moderating a debate but helping Hillary at every turn. What the media is expecting in a surge for Hillary is now turning into an increased level of support for Trump.
I doubt there is ever a disadvantage to having the media on your side.
The media siding with Hillary may cost the media credibility and viewers. But it’s not likely to cost Hillary voters.
This cycle there is a massive backlash against the elites at all levels, especially the drive-bys.
I think Trump is excellent in many ways, but I think even if he wasn’t, this time around people are flipping the bird to the ruling classes and saying “WE will elect whom we want to, even if it’s a riberboat gambler with a prison record.”
This is what the Dems have done for decades. Think of the Congressman from NO with the gubment cash in his house. Not a peep from the drive bys. Think of Cankles herself: all they do is cover up and conceal and excuse.

My local newspaper (which is read by nearly noone and certainly not for national news) has been running every anti-Trump screed the Washington Post puts on the wire and it is embarassingly biased. Today’s day-old story on the debate was headlined “Trump Blames Others After Firey Debate” and goes on about how he gave Mrs. Clinton plenty of ammunition for her next round. Not one word favorable to Trump or mention of the fact that won the debate polls and is leading in the election polls.
I’d complain but that would let them know someone actually reads the garbage.

Years ago, Dr. Gary North predicted that the radical left would capture America with the insane and human nature denying goal of “transforming” it into an egalitarian unicorn and rainbow Utopia by “capturing the ROBES”. By that, he meant those institutions we granted various levels of authority over us and our affairs: The clergy, the judges... and the ACADEMICS.
The roots of the problems in academia flow back to something referred to as the Frankfurt School and their 1935 move to COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY and the spread of Marxist thought (now there’s an oxymoron for ya’!) into every area of learning here.
A prime example of the rot now endemic in the academy is the COLUMBIA SCHOOL OF “JOURNALISM”. It is THE premier center for spreading Marxism here in America and it has been incredibly successful in its destruction of traditional and American values. Not only do its direct graduates permeate the media here, but many of them also double as teachers in lesser known institutions of media instruction. Herein lies the genesis of Limbaugh’s descriptive expression “Driveby Media”. Now you know why virtually every so-called “journalist” HATES folks like us.

Isn’t it fascinating that here is an early instance of a Marxist ANTI-CAPITALIST organization financing itself with the hated PROFITS of a capitalist business? The hypocrisy is mind-boggling and a precursor to how the wealthy capitalists here fund the Clinton and other leftist machines!
More recent examples of that dichotomy would be the offspring of John D. Rockefeller who have largely spent their lives promoting socialism (using other people’s money, of course). And recently Bill Gates treated us to the wisdom that only SOCIALISM can solve the woes of this world. What these folks refuse to acknowledge that even THEY do not possess sufficient personal wealth to make a dent in those woes if the recipients of that largess are incapable of sustaining themselves once the largess stops flowing or is exhausted.
If one examines the life of Karl Marx, we find a bum who abandoned his wife and family to advance the socialist struggle and never worked or dirtied his hands at day in his life. That sort of thing was for the bourgeoisie, not such an exalted personage as himself. His guilt over that abandonment probably explains Karl’s fondness for state welfare paid for by the labor of others so that his abandoned family wouldn’t perish (not that a mensch like Karl gave a rat’s ass).

I was wondering how she was so ready for every question and response. The globalist had this all worked out. This was entirely rehearsed. Moderator uses Clinton campaign talking points disguised as questions, Clinton uses signals to steer moderation, and recites prepared retorts.
I’m not sold on the ear piece, but her responses did sound like she was reading them. I wouldn’t put it past her though.
I wonder if Trump allowing Lesser Dolt to badger him this way is a calculated means to have any “hits” scored in such a manner backfire on Clinton.
Trump has thrown every other “rule” in the book out - so why not this one?

No, Trump was NOT truly shocked by it. If he seemed so, he was bringing attention to it by giving the audience emotional cues to attach THEIR shock to. Like a laugh track in a comedy show, except in this case, selling himself as the President.
The technique is probably in his Art of the Deal book somewhere. I’ve never read it, but my experiences with salesmen tell me it’s entirely possible.
