Back when I was a pup in the newspaper business, legendary reporter Peter Kihss gave me lifetime advice about covering politicians. Remember, he said, there are no such things as stupid questions, only stupid answers.
Which brings us to Lester Holt and the accusations that the moderator tipped Monday’s debate in favor of Hillary Clinton. Holt’s bias was obvious, but the impact was not inevitable. It mattered largely because, shockingly, Donald Trump was shocked that Holt was in the tank for Clinton.
How could Trump not see that coming? And if he did, why wasn’t he better prepared?
Holt never pressed Clinton with any substantive follow-ups, while Trump repeatedly was asked to defend or explain what he had just said or said in the past.
Holt insisted repeatedly Trump had supported the Iraq War, despite the candidate’s denials, and asked pointed questions about his taxes and the Obama birther issue. Yet Clinton got only one obligatory question on the email scandal, and not a single one about the Clinton Foundation, her Wall Street speaking fees or her health — all of which have figured far more prominently in the campaign than Iraq or the birther issue.
It was outrageous — but no surprise. After all, Holt is part of the Big Media establishment that has uniformly protected President Obama and broken all its own standards to trash Trump and elect Clinton.

Well, not exactly. Maybe HER voters aren’t abandoning her, but fence-sitters on our side are moving Trump because it’s a way to give the middle finger to the drive-bys.

You know what is really telling about the debate, nearly all the questions had to do with what Trump said. None of them had anything to do with what Hillary said or DONE.

I don’t think Trump didn’t see it coming. He’s been around the media for 40 years.
I think he played his game against their game. And he won.
It sure looks like directed signals to me. Doing it once or even twice might be a coincidence, but 6 times? And it seems to me that when people naturally have these mannerisms, it is done in an unselfconscious way. But Hillary is fully alert and the movements seem unnatural and targeted and take a longer amount of time than one would normally take if their nose simply itches. And she manages to rub her nose 3 times each time! I would love to hear an analysis of these gestures by some honest body language experts. Also, I would like an analysis of what happens with Lester after she she does her nose rubs each time.

Trump needs to practice saying, “Am I debating her? Or You?”
And repeat it every time the moderator comes at him.
Needs to be vetted first. As someone above asked are these the only times she scratched her face ? Were there other zingers where she did not use this method ? Is this a nervous habit of hers that occurs in other similar situations?

The “media” is being decimated by the millions of new journo reporters armed with a smart phone and Twitter, Imgur, Snapchat, YouTube accounts.
Case in point the Hillary 9/11 collapse which circled the globe in minutes after it happened, with no enemdia filters and propaganda.

When you are face to face with prearranged corruption such as we clearly saw in the pingpong between Hillary and the so called moderator of the “debate,” then Hillary can’t help but lose votes.
