It’s interesting that the TV Bozo was a “franchise” - that is, each market had it’s own local guy plating Bozo. Usually some announcer, weekend weather guy or the like.

Same with “Romper Room”, each market has it’s own “Miss” Whoever as the teacher.

Kid’s show were great back in the day!

Willard Scott played Bozo the Clown in the early 60s in DC. I was on his show once when they would take a kid out of the audience and interact with Bozo.

Howdy Doody gave me screaming nightmares. And I was pretty sure Captain Kangaroo and Mr. Greenjeans were up to something, too.
