Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump complained after Monday night's debate that his microphone wasn't working -- and he questioned whether that was happening on purpose.

He could learn a lot from Newt. Newt just tells people they are wrong and proceeds to bombard them up with 15 bullet points. He knows how to disarm his adversaries -fast and furious. The classic example is when he took on Juan Williams for six minutes in 2012.
I think they were both wearing wireless lavalieres...just stand up straight and speak normally, force the audio guy to use the lav. Big/important events like have multiple mics.
He's absolutely correct, although not that the mic was defective.
Trump's mic (the one on the podium, not the lapel mic going to broadcast to maintain as constant a distance to his mouth as possible) was ringing in the 500Hz range over the room PA. You cannot believe how rookie a mistake this is. This is a single knob-turn fix and feedback in this environment is not only absolutely haram, but should not have been heard over the broadcast feed. This is no accident.
Many people are commenting on Trump's sniffles or inhales. Also a blatant act of sabotage. EVERY on-site broadcast audio engineering package includes a Rane Dynamic Controller....a very expensive piece of equipment that adjusts the mic volume as the sound level changes. You can set it to turn up the mic when the subject is talking to get clear, solid vocals then instantly (and in a controlled manner) turn the volume back down as their voice trails off (to the millisecond) to make sure you don't hear breathing, lip smacking, sighing, sipping water, shuffling things about on the podium, etc. Those inhales and sniffles were intentionally not fixed. Notice you did not hear anything from her mic when she wasn't talking. Polished and perfect.
Part of Trump's body language problem was he kept bending down to the podium mic like a contestant bidding on an item on The Price is Right.
This was intentional. Wonder if they can find out who on Clintons team colluded with the networks to attempt to sabotage Trump?
Didn't work, Trump still won, but it just shows you how pathetic they are with their cheating.
that’s ok. The only fact check that counts is Hillary once again sounded like Charlie Brown’s teacher. Trump spoke with sincerity from the heart. And that will be both of their presidential styles.
He also had to hunch over to use it - it was set too low for him
Shame on his staff for not preventing this crap
No trump does NOT need to talk about this
This is not a make or break issue of national interest and security
A fault he has is making things seem to be about him, and it comes across to the average desperate hard working man as whining about style not focusing on substance
He has plenty of good people who can talk about this and more to make sure it doesn’t happen again
She would never go for that...
A comment from Reddit Audio Engineering:
Yeah, the broadcast mix was the lavs. No play on the mics at all as they gesticulated around.
And I’m sure it was my imagination, but I felt maybe someone notched a little bump into the lav right around his nasal inhale frequency ;-)
MSM = America's ISIS.
Remember when Sarah Palin’s teleprompter “ froze” during her VP acceptance speech? She powered right through her speech without it
Dirty tricks by all sides
Well, if there is a revolution, we know who to come for first!

They also boosted his sniffling
Outright collusion is possible, but not necessary. Big Media are all leftists and form the propaganda wing of Big Government and the democRat Party. They can be relied upon to sabotage their enemies (Trump, in this case) without explicit instructions from their bosses (Hildebeeste, in this case).
Well, I am. The whole thing was a well orchestrated PSYOP. It's to Trump's credit that he held his ground as well as he did.
That's how a professional or other seasoned speaker checks to see if the "mike" is turned on. Way cooler than "Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3." Disk Jockey 101.
This was about half way into the debate.
Yes but, the Trump team should make sure it doesn't happen again. Perhaps force the debate to an outside sound stage with only a hard-wired feed to the outside world. That's my professional opinion. I rarely play the "Pro" card on FR, but this has been my life from the time I was a fifteen year old paid "teen-age" disk jockey. Had my first salaried job by 19, degree from Michigan State and Navy photo school.
It was only one of many "dirty tricks!" Another good catch! I only had audio so I didn't see that. "Good on you," as my Brit granddaughter might say!
I’m no longer a pro but I did go to school for audio engineering, and worked in recording for a while(too many liberals and druggies to handle lol) , and it sure sounded to me like they boosted around 1-2k to give him a tinny, nasally sound.
