Who "won" the debate? It's as simple as this.

Posted on 09/26/2016 8:12:52 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Those who are satisfied with business as usual will say Hillary won.

Those who want higher taxes and bigger government will say Hillary.

Those who think the Iran Nuke deal is a good deal will say Hillary.

Those who think trade deals like NAFTA and TPP are great for America will say Hillary.

Those who think inner city blacks and minorities have been treated great by the democrats and their socialist policies will say Hillary.

Those who think Hillary will appoint great judges will say she won.

Those who think Hillary can securely safeguard our nation's classified information and will secure our borders and our nation will say she won.

Those who think we need a complete turnover and want to prevent our nation from spiraling down the drain know that Trump won and must win the coming election.

Trump won - The pre-debate media chatter was all about whether Holt should fact-check Trump, but it turned out the most memorable such event occurred when Trump fact-checked Holt over how he characterized his Iraq war comments.

In the weeks leading up to Reagan’s first debate the media had painted the retired Hollywood actor as an ignorant bumpkin who had no business being in the White House. The undecideds wanted to know who this ‘scary’ conservative really was, and whether he had what it took to become President of the United States.

In the first debate he didn’t do all that well. Carter caught him flat footed a few times and laid in some well-rehearsed attack lines. The media then promptly declared Carter the winner.

A week later the media couldn’t believe that Reagan’s polls went *up* afterwards. They were absolutely flabbergasted.

Why did it happen? It was because Reagan knew that America was going in the wrong direction, and he spoke about it with conviction and with heart. Meanwhile Carter was stiff and rattled off his well-rehearsed talking points.

Hillary in comparison is a robot. The empathy just isn’t there, and that is a big factor for the LIVs and undecideds.

Hillary represents the enemy within regarding all the important issues.

She IS the enemy. The laughing, mocking, taunting enemy.

There are those who see Satan in her, and those who don't.

Nothing else.

This campaign is largely a battle for the LIV`s at this point. Let`s not under estimate Trump`s ability to see the big picture while his opponents are stuck in a narrower strategic vision.

Trump likely views this as a best of three series and doesn`t just look at each debate in isolation. If the goal of the first debate was to establish trust and rappore with the LIV`s, who up till now have been judging him from the sound bytes spoon fed to them by the media, then he was probably sucessful.

He also stood up to Holt when Holt`s bias was most blatant. This illustrates to the LIV`s that when he brings up bias in future debates, a strong case will have already been made for its existence, in the first one.

Also, the outcome of this debate may lulll the Hillary team into a sense of overconfidence which will likely be their undoing. They just can`t help themselves.

I was my High School debate champion back in 1966, and in all honesty Mr. Trump got his ass kicked tonight.

Is that where you learned that offensive declaratory sentences equaled reasoned arguments?

"Champion," Lol.

Absolutely true. Also, Trump’s first debate, Hillary has been around the shtick for forty years with hubby. Trump’s learning curve will be sky high, she is at the peak of her game and can only go down from here!

Go Donald! Whitehouse here we come!

Looooolz

You're so cute relating your experience in high school from 1966. That's sooooooooo relevant.

Did your debate teams practice lying 12 or more times like Hillary did?

We also need to realize The Donald wrote The art of the Deal. Hillary wrote the art of the steal. This was only the first round of a three round negotiation for Donald. He has been light years ahead of all comers and pundits throughout this campaign. He is not trying to win an election he is negotiating a deal by a proud American for America and Americans. FABA!

Interesting that you only speak of items Trump “could” have said, not what he did say or what Illary did not.

Calling out Illary on referring to young blacks as superpredators was devastating. Telling her he would release his taxes when she revealed 33000 e-mails was also a killer lone with no response. And her demeanor was flat out condescending. Voters will show you who won on 11/8

Trump needs to hammer away at all the issues you've listed.
Keep reminding the American people of the stakes in this election.

Unfortunately, tonight he let her get under his skin on matters that have nothing to do with this election. He has very few weaknesses, but one of them is the tendency to take certain things personally, and then erupt. He should not play into her game plan, which is to get him rattled and angry, but remain above the fray. Emphasize the issues, and her lack of leadership.

- business as usual
- higher taxes and bigger government
- he Iran Nuke deal
- trade deals like NAFTA and TPP
- inner city blacks and minorities
- Law and order
- Constitution and the rule of law.

You do realize that statement is as asinine as challenging his experience in MATH from 1966, right?

Did your debate teams practice lying 12 or more times like Hillary did?

How many of those twelve were about herself, and which did Trump confute?

Trump destroyed the clown.

I watched the debate after it aired, and after reading the numerous criticisms of Trump here on FR. I was anticipating a disaster. But to the contrary, Trump was determined, steady, and on message. Hillary giggled and paraded platitudes.

Trump destroyed the clown.
