For all we know, Hillary prepped with a nice nap. Saying she was doing mock debates makes for a better cover story.
When that happens, Trump should say “Mr. Holt I see what you are trying to do there but I wont let you do to me what was done to Mitt Romney, I will be speaking to the PEOPLE instead”
If Lester gets all bucky I bet Trump calls him out. My thoughts are that Holt is aware and pissed at how the Dems are acting and will play it straight
People still think Trump just did all this on a whim. He has been quietly preparing to run for years.
I don't think Holt will try it, because he knows Trump won't roll over like Romney.
But, my suggestion for Trump... if Holt does try to do more than moderate, he should simply state:
We could have done worse. Lester Holt is considered to be fair and even-handed in much of what he does.

You may be right. Perhaps HRC’s team has overplayed its hand. After all, they could have counted on Lester Holt's bias in her favor...why did they ask for it publicly?
They are either builders, entrepreneurs, soldiers, or psychopaths (or the like).
They are not professors, preachers, teachers, lawyers, doctors, politicians, or actors.
Looking forward to something like this:
“Mrs. Clinton, now that we know why you were not prosecuted and why five of your co-conspirators were given immunity, will you tell us the secret pseudonym President Obama used to communicate with you on your private email server long before he “learned about it on the news”? “
And:
“I’m honored by the courageous endorsement of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement union that cited corrupt politicians and political games hampering their mission. On the heels of the endorsement of the border patrol union and the largest police force union, it is clear that the country has had enough of my opponent’s corrupt and non functional style of government.”
If Trump is that well prepared he is going to be fine. People are looking for a reason not to vote Clinton, the media tries to overtly manipulate the outcome and they only add fuel to his fire.
No, that’s just silly. First of all, it DOESN’T MATTER who “wins” in the debate itself. Holy cow, haven’t you guys learned from the GOP primaries? Every single primary the media, including the conservative media, said Cruz won, Rubio won, Kasich won-—everyone but Trump won.
Yet in the insta-polls, Trump “won” every one because of his dominance of social media. They couldn’t do a thing because that’s how the game is played.
That’s how the Dems have played the game for years. What is said in the debate is irrelevant, it’s “who counts the votes,” and Trump will win regardless of who “wins.”
And, BTW, I think he’ll “win” as well.
Yeah, I think Trump is very ready to deal with a Candy Crowley moment from Lester Holt.
