I find it odd. The bigger the podium the smaller you look. We have 2 pastors at our church, one on the tall side and the other on the shorter side. The shorter of the two always uses the smaller podium.

I would think it would highlight the difference rather than hide it. I really hope Trump tweets about this afterwards.
