Entire Title: "Hillary Clinton to use larger podium than Donald Trump at first debate to make up for height disadvantage: report"
Hillary Clinton says that we’re “stronger together,” but even she can’t deny Donald Trump is taller.
The Democratic nominee, who is 5-foot-4, has apparently enlisted the help of a raised podium for the first presidential debate against Donald Trump, who is 6-foot-3, Monday night, photos of the two podiums show.
According to WABC’s Rita Cosby, one of the two podiums inside the debate hall at Hofstra University, in Hempstead, N.Y., is larger than the other.
It is believed that the larger one was built at Clinton’s request to make her appear taller than she is.
“Clinton is 5'4" and Trump 6'2" and her team wanted the podium modified or a box added so she won't look short next to Trump,” Cosby said in an email.
“One is clearly larger … than the other,” Cosby said.
Photos taken by Cosby appear to show two podiums of two different sizes.
The Clinton campaign did not immediately respond to questions about whether the Democratic nominee would be using a raised podium at Monday night’s debate. The Commission on Presidential Debates, which organizes the debates, did not respond to questions either.
However, multiple outlets had reported last week that the Clinton campaign had asked the CPD if the Democratic nominee could use a raised podium to avoid appearing 10 inches shorter than Trump.

The taller podium is for the taller person, I assume.
Oh I do hope that ears that house coat.
Being on a raised platform only means she has farther to fall when she collapses and increases the risk of injury or death, as well as making it more difficult to recover and creating a ledge making a mis-step more likely.
I’m all for it, I just cannot see the down side.
Imagine her behind a thin podium. She'd look like humpty dumpty. I guess that's deplorable shapism.

Good grief, now we have to vote for Hellda not only because she’s a woman, but because she’s 5’4. Otherwise we’re racist against everyone 5’4. BTW, is this the same Rita Cosby of the W Bush/Al Gore hanging chad fame? Whatever became of her?
She needs a larger podium with more storage. To hold cough drops, water, Depends, tissues, a cane, booster seat, special eyeglasses and all the other things necessary to keep her alive. Since there are no breaks, hope she remembers to store a potty chair in the podium.

That is exactly what I was thinking. A midget standing beside a Clydesdale would look much shorter than one standing beside a pony.
Raised??? I’m missing something here.
They wouldn’t give her a stool to stand on but I though they agreed to a lower podium for her.
Personally, I think they should raise so high that we don’t even have to see her!! That would be a hoot!
