Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump tried to make the case Saturday that he'd do more to help women from the White House than Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, a lifelong champion of women's rights who would become the nation's first female president.
"My opponent likes to say that for decades she's been fighting for women, that she's been fighting for children. Why, then, are 70 million American women and children living in poverty or on the brink of poverty in our country?" Trump asked a rally crowd in Roanoke. "For years she's been doing this and she's done nothing."

But Trump will never do more women than Slick Willie.
Great call out. For almost any issue. I would add the qualifier, "productive", to a statement like such.
For years she's been doing this and she's done nothing productive.
Simply because, to my mind, anything she has actually "done" has most likely been DESTRUCTIVE. Not productive. Nor constructive.
Trump will give this country a fighting chance, which will benefit everyone who lives here legally.
I know this doesn’t fit here, and i agree with everything you said, but I had to watch 20 minutes of CNN for the first time in years and I COULD NOT believe HOW Tass-like it is now!!!!!!
IT IS SO MUCH WORSE than even 4 years ago!!!
Wife was waiting for some thing she expected to be on CNN (some commercial) so i was stuck.
Anyway who’s watched it regularly is a stronger man than me!!
Trump will do better for everyone but according to CNN EVERYTHING he or ANY other man says about hillary is sexissst.
geez.
I just hope he can handle the abortion questions at the debates with clarity, compassion and finese. There are very positive ways of talking about the issue without alienating middle of the road folks.
Abortion leaves at least two casualties, sometimes more. Dead bodies are easy to identify; dead souls less so.
Trump has gotten a lot of mileage from talking about such problems as “terrible, just terrible.”
By backing out of the immediate blame game into the observer of tragedy role, he manages to transcend a common trap.
Exactly
“Why, then, are 70 million American women and children living in poverty or on the brink of poverty in our country?”
She’s not fighting for *those* women. Just for an elite few.
Trump won’t welcome mozlim beasts that like to sew up womens’ vaginas or perform cliterectomies on them with pocket knives.
Hillary can’t wait to welcome more of these savages into our neighborhoods.
Not her neighborhood though.
CNN has jumped the shark!
Can’t watch it anymore.
LOL, or his wife...
Someone close to me had an abortion. She had always wanted a baby but was pressured into it.
She later had a miscarriage and then lost her youngest child to cancer when he was only nine.
She still yearns for the baby she could have had.
Abortion is a ... looking for the right metaphor ... a poison for the soul.
A woman never gets over that. She carries the guilt for the rest of her life.
Not sure how Trump will handle this... but I would say that his children are gifts from God.

Proud...I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship :)
Amen. All talk, no action (or, if action, then HORRIBLE action).
If women want a better economy, safer schools for their kids and fewer rapists allowed in the country, they should vote Trump.
We have three great kids to show for it, so the odds are something less than 1 in 1000 each time Mr. Eel explores Mrs. Cave and makes a deposit therein.
Yeah, I realize they are far better than that during the fertile years, but I'm speaking overall.
Yes:
“Dear Mr. Trump, please don’t do anything for women other than operate within the bounds of our Constitution and keep the federal government out of my way.
Many thanks,
-an American woman.”
