The Republican nominee's team will devote $60 million of the TV ads to local markets, including Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Maine, New Mexico and Wisconsin. The remaining $40 million of TV funding will go toward national commercials.
Trump threw down $15 million on Friday alone.

Right on time. Putting his money down when it will do the most good.
Good to see a guy who understands the marketing part of the political process instead of the shmoes we’ve been stuck with.
I think they use ad buys like artillery to ‘soften up’ the battle space. He uses it in advance of an infantry attack. I hope. He uses Twitter for the softening up.
I guess California is not in play after all. I didn’t see it on the list.
About time.
Social media is the way to go and Trump has been doing fantastic with it.
But those here that have been caterwauling for TV ads, well, I hope they are happy. They have their damn TV ads. But in my opinion, they aren't worth a plugged nickel.
The point is that he held fire, didn’t get distracted by all the rope-a-dope moves to distract him and get him to spend himself into a corner 3 months ago.
Recall the media kept scratching their heads over his lack of spending. That was intentional on his part...
It’s called knowing how to fight and win in a complex battle space.
HELLARY has already blown her wad, her donors have reached their money limits and she has spent it NOW he is going to carpet bomb her right before election with positive uplifting ads that voters will have in their minds as they vote!!! She has done NOTHING but attack Trump she didn’t learn much from JEB! campaign!!!!
Throw some money for ads here in Illinois. Last night I saw Clinton ads for the first time here on two cable channels.
If Trump is truly only down 6 here in Illinois, I hope he makes an effort to steal the state away from the Dems.
this is making its way around facebook...it is entitled Clinton vs Clinton and is an ad that should be run the final month in every battleground state....i cannot find any other link to this video other than facebook- its devastating!!!

I imagine he has a gantt chart somewhere with deadlines and milestones, and he knows how much he wants to ramp it up and when and where and why. That’s what I love about the guy (and one thing the media hates) is that he makes it all look so easy, his people mostly keep their mouths shut, and their focus on the product, or candidate, as the case may be.
Sam seniors STILL watch TV and they are the STRONGEST voter block, I am a senior but still a strong internet user due to FR, my mom on the other hand is TV all the way!!!

My MIL only gets her news from CNN. She won’t vote for Hillary but is inclined against Trump (not enough experience). Ads would get to her.
Good one
Here he goes..perfect timing...more and more people paying attention. Meanwhile Clinton just blew millions of dollars for nothing.
California is a long shot. Stupid to spend money on ads there. However, New York State is not included in that ad list either but, Trump is extemely well known in his own state. IMHO. Trump will carry New York State: Massive wins in Staten Island, Long Island, all of upstate, North counties above NYC, Westchester, etc.. and hefty votes and small loses in NYC counties, Kings (Brooklyn), Queens & Bronx. Manhattan, total loss...left wing, liberal heaven!!!
Trump will “easily” win Texas, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, etc., the making of a massive landslide, countrywide victory!!! He is only getting started. Debates will mean little in the big picture of things. As usual, the media & pundits do not have a clue as to what is really happening in the USA!!!
Earlier it was $100m. Now it’s $140m?
We can debate effectiveness-—I agree in large part TV is of diminishing returns-—but I did say about two months ago when everyone was whining that Trump wasn’t spending enough on ads that he would unleash holy airwave hell in mid-September.
Correct. I said two months ago when people were whining that he wasn’t spending enough on ads that he would go big after mid-September.
Right on schedule.
