One of my retinas gets nearly twice as large as the other sometimes. Not often but it scares the hell out of me.

Retina, or pupil?

The retina is in the back of your eye. It is the light sensing organ that collects images to send to your brain.

The pupil is the dark spot on the front of your eye. It is the hole that allows light in to the retina, and typically opens and closes in response to various lighting conditions.

ANOTHER side effect of TBI is using the wrong words or not being able to find the right ones!

of course the pupil.

Such an obvious screw up rattles my nerves but I guess that doesn’t do any good.

It is what it is.

I visit a lot of Vet TBI websites. No one gets better after the first few years, just worse.

They need help like yesterday.

“and typically opens and closes in response to various lighting conditions”

That would be the iris.
