For the past few years I’ve grown increasingly disgusted with all of the crap the networks keep loading onto the games, including the endless promos the announcers do for the network’s other shows, the wall to wall commercials, the over the top graphics and sound effects, the snotty little leftist political digs and outright rants a la gun grabber Bob Costa, October pink because they care so much, etc. etc. etc. Kapernick and the NFL’s response to him was the last damn straw. I haven’t watched a single game since, and I used to watch all 3 games every Sunday. I don’t even miss it.

Same goes for Hollywood and the overpaid airhead actors who think their political opinion is golden. When people ask if I’ve seen the latest movie, I usually give them a polite shake of the head. Ditto for TV shows. I have zero interest these days, especially since they’ve become one big all encompassing advertisement for the dangerous homoerotic lifestyle. With the exception of a few, carefully vetted, family friendly movies and documentaries, they get none of my attention or support and haven’t for a long time. If more people felt that way, we could shut them down. Just like with the NFL, they are nothing if no one is watching and all their millions will vanish overnight.
I generally only watch a game a week and they have no way of knowing whether I’m tuned in or not since I have one-way satellite service.

I tried to watch a couple football games but can’t do it without seeing someone wiping their feet or burning a flag. It’s just an invasive image I can’t shake, like seeing a car wreck or ISIS burning someone alive. I’m ruined for watching football.
I was on the bleeding edge of this.
