And how George McGovern, a raging moderate by modern Democrat standards only won one state in November of that year? Then Jimmah Carter, a moderate ( stupid but moderate) won the election? Even Bill Clinton who worked with Republicans during his terms is but a distant memory.
I just don’t think President Trump can afford to repeat Reagan and try to play nice with the Rats, Soros, BLM, the MSM. We can’t afford to even leave them “wandering in the desert”. If they are not utterly destroyed they will just creep back in and pick up where they left off.
