As NBA teams began gathering Friday to start training camps — three teams hold their first practices Saturday, while 27 others get going in the coming days — an issue each is addressing is how players and coaches can help create substantive change in cities across the country. The NBA and the players’ union urged teams this week to develop ideas in a memo this week.
“No one can be happy with what’s going on right now,” Van Gundy said Friday. “I like what (Golden State coach) Steve Kerr said. Wherever you are on the political spectrum, I don’t think a thinking person can say, ‘This isn’t a problem.’ I mean, we’re shooting unarmed people — and you’ve got to think largely, they are seen as threats largely because of their race. I mean, it’s hard to fathom.”

“I don’t have an answer. Nobody has an answer,” Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook said. “If that was the case, we would have fixed it.”

I thought it was interesting as to who watches the various pro sports. They also have the ages of the fans by %. NBA has a very young demo as compared to the others, especially MLB. They might not care too much.

I think that NBA players should all vow to adhere to the social justice recommended CEO salary cap of 250,000 dollars per year and donate the rest of their salaries to all the disadvantaged black kids in the ghetto

Don’t just demonstrate your commitment to social justice dissing the national anthem
Be sincere and demonstrate your sincerity by writing a big check to those who have lucky enough to have won in the lottery of life you have been lucky
Basketball fans (or fans of any sport) don’t buy tickets or turn on the TV to learn the political views of a bunch of athletes. Shut up and play ball.

Actually, the NBA players cannot see what the problem is, because that very thing is the problem.
That is the cause of black poverty, and that is the cause of black criminality. Until they see that fatherless young men are usually dangerous young men, they aren't going to be in the least bit helpful.
