His restaurant serves the best Sunday Brunch, I have ever had anywhere. Real manly spread. Make sure you are hungry when you go, if it is still open.

It was many years ago when I took my grandson and two other 15 year olds. None of them had ever been to Chicago. The two friends were from a very small town in Kansas had never flown, ridden on a train, in a cab, on a trolley or seen so many high rises in one place.

Was Thanksgiving weekend, kettle bell ringers were out, the city was decorated and Christmas music was playing in the stores. Grandson spent one afternoon and a lot of Granny’s money in North Face. We went to all the museums, ate dinner at a “real” Italian restaurant and went to the top of the John Hancock Tower.

Remember that there were people actually smoking in the restaurant and the boys went out shopping by themselves one night. The Wharf had pretty much closed down for the winter but did take them to what little was open.

Doubt if we ever go back but do have wonderful memories of the area.
