That's is what I am hoping for. I do not think the debates will go well for Trump. The partisanship of the press is so open now, all we will hear is that Trump lost, or that he bullied a sick woman. I think Hillary dropping out is essentially a win by forfeit for Trump.

Totally agree. No matter how well he does in debate, the debates will be used to prop Clinton. Trump is better off without marbles in his path.
That will certainly be the spin. However, this also will be among the most highly watched television events in history. So if Trump comports himself as a gentleman and focuses on on his policies - as he has done since mid-August - he will undo all that spin. Many people accept the media spin on Trump because they are not watching the rallies and interviews like we are. If Trump can maintain his self-discipline and project his love of country and his enthusiasm to make America great again, he will appear Reaganesque and will win over tens of millions of people to his side - and any media spin to the contrary will seem petty and weak because people will have seen him with their own eyes.
Let Crooked Hillary be the one that becomes unhinged. All of America is likely to see her for the sickly harridan she is.
