... or how about just stop watching altogether. (I know that’s nearly impossible for a sports/football addict. So, yeah, cutting back is good.) But consider playing sports yourself, watching a kids game, going for a walk, spending time with the family, calling your mother (if she’s not glued to the game!), reading a book, playing board games, making something (woodworking, sewing, .... ), working around the house or yard, ....
There are so many options that could be far more rewarding.
I’ve tuned them out completely. I’m more of a baseball fan anyway so I’m watching my Nationals on their march to the NL Pennant.
