4 Things To Watch In The First Debate For Hillary Clinton
NPR ^ | September 23, 2016 | Mara Liasson

Posted on 09/23/2016 6:00:37 AM PDT by Zakeet

Here are four things Clinton will have to think about.

  1. What is her goal?

Debate coaches say one of the biggest mistakes a presidential candidate can make is misunderstanding what a presidential debate is and is not. It's not a forum to score policy points (a Clinton strength). Instead, it's a contest of character and demeanor. Everyone knows that Clinton is knowledgeable and competent. Now, she needs to use the debate to show she's also authentic and relatable.

  2. How does she deal with the burden of high expectations?

... The bar for Donald Trump is relatively low — he just has to show he's a plausible president, and not the outrageous, offensive character some voters see on the campaign trail. But she has to prove that she's more honest, trustworthy and likable than most voters think.

    [Snip]

  3. What about gender?

This will be the first time in history that a male and female candidate have faced off on a presidential debate stage. And like it or not, they will be judged differently.

    [Snip]

  4. Do debates even matter?

Even though debates rarely determine the outcome of presidential elections they do make a difference. You can't win an election, in a debate but you can lose one (See: Gore, Albert or Bush, George H.W.).

1. >> Everyone knows that Clinton is knowledgeable and competent.

Hahahahahahaha!

1. b. > Now, she needs to use the debate to show she’s also authentic and relatable.

I see that NPR has the talking points. They’ve been trying to sell this since before Hitlery declared. The public isn’t buying, despite the wall to wall coverage of this message.

2. >> But she has to prove that she’s more honest, trustworthy and likable than most voters think.

What was that about a low bar again? I don’t see how any bar could be much lower. This bar is lying on the ground. If you’re not careful, you’ll trip over it.

3. > What about gender?

What about it? We already went through this with “What about race?” Look what that got us. The liberals love to play the race card and the gender card. We’re not supposed to vote against someone based on race or gender, but it’s just fine, in fact it’s encouraged, to vote FOR someone on the basis. So long as they are liberal, of course. Nope, no bias there, nuh-uh.

4. >> Do debates even matter?

Mara, Mara, Mara, You wish. You know she’s going to be crushed. You and your fellow libs are cringing and dreading the debate. You’re hoping nobody watches. Your panicked at the idea that Hitlery might have a seizure on live tv. I’m sure you’re also desperately pre-writing your post debate columns and speeches to explain away why her terrible performance doesn’t matter.

You forgot Dukakis' response to the Bernie Shaw question about Kittie being raped. And of course, Jerry Ford's satting that Eastern Europe wasn't under Soviet domination.

I think these people really believe what they right. It's so opposed to anything real. Otherwise they would have to know they are outright lying.

That is a great solution. But a really great idea would be to hack into it and feed her confusing information. And if that couldn’t be done, then play some sort of annoying noise that is impossible for her to tolerate.

1 watch for seizures
2 watch her eyes
3 watch her freeze when speaking
4 watch her lies
5 Tone of screeching
6 impoliteness and interruptions of Trump speaking

He was/is far more “informed” than most of the other candidates. This was especially evident in one verbal exchange with Bush, which dealt with Boeing opening a plane finishing plant in China.

He was/is far more “politically astute” than the other candidates. He has had to work with government officials all over the world to do business. He also demonstrates “political astuteness” with his sharp “chess-playing” strategies deployed with an amazing sense of timing.

Some think he’s not the perfect candidate, when in reality, he is THE PERFECT CANDIDATE, and THANK GOD he is OUR candidate!

"Everyone knows that Clinton is knowledgeable and competent"

Lost me right there. She is quite experienced as a liar, but has never gotten very good at it, her primary qualification as a politician. I'm not sure that is "knowledgeable and competent".

Got as far as “ Everyone knows that Clinton is knowledgable and competent...” and became too ill to continue.

“I don’t think Mara understands the meaning of the word “everyone”.”

Nor the meaning of either knowledgeable or competent.

The one on the left, don’t know. The one on the right is a notorious feminist SJW who had a meltdown on camera after being triggered.

Am hoping the Trump campaign can jam the radio signal for her ear piece. Surely the Trump campaign has something planned to do just that.

Typical, the whoredom of media try to arrange our minds to receive the BS they will sling at us after the spectacle.

Trump should immediately ask the cameras to zoom in showing he is not wearing an earpiece. Hillary would collapse at that point.

[Am hoping the Trump campaign can jam the radio signal for her ear piece.]

Since that has been floating around, probably the best alternative is to have the candidates submit to a search of ANY electronic receiving devices.

There’s nothing that Trump can say about his opponent that won’t be spun by the media as sexist and misogynistic (if not xenophobic, homophobic, and racist). In other words, they will throw him right into Crooked Hillary’s basket of deplorables.

That being the case, he might just as well go for the jugular.

“Everyone knows that Clinton is knowledgeable and competent.”

No, everyone knows that NPR is a left-wing mouthpiece for the DNC.

What a bunch of comedians at NPR.

Regarding Trump, “the outrageous, offensive character” is the caricature created by NPR et al, not reality.

Regarding Clinton, she has repeatedly proven that she is neither honest nor trustworthy and often is shrill.

Clinton has a laundry list of aspirations, Trump has detailed policies.

[Who will do the searching?]

Team Trump can do Clinton.
Team Clinton can do Trump.

Either candidate who refuses and the debates are put on hold until they agree.
